So basically Balins expedition to Moria was successful for a few years. And regular reports were sent back to Erebor. But then they stopped. Obviously some people feared the worst but some kept hope. Gimli, his dad, and other dwarves go to Rivendell for 2 reasons. One is to inform them about riders asking for Baggins. The other to ask about news of Moria. Obviously we later find out they had been dead for years Things are pretty slow in Middle Earth. Dwarven architecture by far. Their buildings look formidable and functional while still being esthetically pleasing.

All those races are unique, with great architecture. But for me, the Dwarves' constructions and designs are most fascinating and impressive. Enough to inspire me to write my own dwarf-centered fantasy novel series!

I love all the architecture of middle earth, but that of the Shire is what I enjoy the most. Something about the coziness and comfort of hobbit homes just feels right to me.

I'm irritated that KZbin chooses to remove channels that I actually like such as this and subscribe to during random subscriber purges - yet they never touch the cringy channels that I haven't even looked at for almost a decade. Good looks, KZbin. Awesome video, mate, I'm glad to have found my way back. :)

Love the Dwarves. My favorite race of Middle Earth, and Moria my favorite kingdom. How cool would it be to live in that mountain at the height of it's time.

i like the dwarfs halls the most but its a pity that Kazad-Dum was never shown on its full glory. just imagine that halls full of light and how beautiful that could be.

@Al they couldn't get the rights or didn't want to pay enough for them, so they had to basically make up a bunch of stuff but not get too close to the canonical story. All they really had to go on was a few names. such a shame they just wanted a money grab instead of respecting the world that tolkien made.

My favorite architecture is that of the elves. I've always wanted to live in a treehouse.

Very informative lore video! I'm working on some tabletop miniature games with battle maps and various generic / custom boards to play miniature battles and quests on. I loved seeing the fellowship miniatures. They are so well done. Amazing work they did on them. Gives me the inspiration to continue working on my miniature gaming projects.

The art, style of the races are similar in some ways, yet unique to each of them. The history and beauty of Men is wide ranging. The strength, power of the Dwarves gives feeling of safety, steadfastness, longevity. Hobbits use the natural resources to create, letting mother nature do the hard work, so they can enjoy, have fun. The Elves are elegant, purposeful, efficient, yet sleek and beautiful.
