I am a new bunny parent and your videos are absolutely invaluable and so reassuring! I didn't intend to get a bunny but Nyx is a rescue and I had to scramble to get him set up. As I type this two weeks in he is napping on his side, leaning against me, eyes closed, occasionally purring and a lot of that is down to your help. So thank you from both Nyx and me!

Oh boy is the dead bunny flop a scary thing when you're first waking up in the morning and your normally excited bunny isn't responding to your movements. That's one heck of a wake-up call. Good news, it was a literal flop. Bad news, I aged a few years from that scare. LMAO My rabbits shake their ears and do mini-binkies when treats and breakfast is involved.

Interestingly, my rabbit thumped right in-front of my face while I was sleeping . I woke up frightened and I was wondering this whole time why she would do that. She always jump onto my bed around 5-6AM to wake me up with a thump. Now, I know that she just wanted my attention 😆. I thought thumping only meant scared or angry behavior.

My rabbits love licking the carpet! 😂 Dexter has chinned everything in the house to the point where he has a mini Gandalf type beard! 🤣 Sometimes they make a clicking noise with their teeth when they're being groomed, it's the cutest thing! ☺️🐇

When they make a clicking noise with their teeth (when something positive is happening like pets) it’s actually them purring

I can’t remember where, maybe Amy, but I read the chinning actually leaves a sort of glow in the dark “breadcrumbs” so they can find their way in the dark. We hear our buns zooming around , but they never crash into anything.

Oh BL I love you and Elisive &Teddybear! You speak ‘“Rabbit” so well! Many of these chapters gave me joyful chills and thrills of recognition, making me each time even more love these beautiful amazingly special beings that so often grant us the honor of seeing and treating us as their -very strange shorte-eared long-legged- peers. Sharing this on my Boer Konijn Facebook page as the best yet visual dictionary of Rabbit bodylanguage. I alway tell people that even though rabbits rarely are vocal they do talk so much all day long amongst themselves and to us -if they find us worthy- to us (aw well even if they do not find us worthy, but those usually very, very short one-way conversations lol)

I took them to my enclosed yard as they were not exposed to it before (neutral indoor pen zones didn't work). I did it 2 times and when I put them back in their indoor pens they became affectionate thru the fencing. Took em outside a 3rd time. After that, I put them together indoor same pen and they bonded!! I had the couple for 11 years😊

So one of my rabbits is deaf.. Part Holland Lop but his ears aren't completely down.. And we never really see him communicate with his ears, he doesn't move em at all they just kinda block his view 😅 But he has thumped at me when trying to get him in his carrier. I wonder if he knows he's making noise or how that instinct is there even though he can't hear 🤨 We love our little floppy eared Winston ❤

Hey Amy how would you punish a rabbit if it did something bad I mean just to tell him not to do that not like hitting it
@Erudotic3 жыл бұрын
Never punish a rabbit, they don't understand the concept and just become scared. Best is to behave offended in Rabbitspeak: go sit right next to them but turn your back, every once in while looking over your shoulder as of to check if it actually does see you do so. Meanwhile act as if your very interested and busy investigating something imaginary in front of you on the ground, some dig moves and sounds scratching the floorr. Very likely it will soon try to get your attention or perhaps even start grooming itself as you watch it. That is a peace-signal and you should answer it soon with likewise movements, very good chance once it sees you answer out will hip up to you for a very shy careful touch of nose to gently offered hand
@Erudotic3 жыл бұрын
Rabbits understand being offended very well, they sometimes show you their behinds hopping away from you whilst ki king their back legs up as ik to kick and in your face and ignore you for a while.

Heyy!!! Thanks for this helpful video. I really need a video on bunny behaviours after neutering. What are the changes and what things remain same? Do they fight with other rabbits even after getting fixed and is the territorial behaviour still there after neutering??? I really really need all these information. 😞

Hi. I just found your channel, and I love everything about it. It is helping me figure out about my bunny. He is adopted from a shelter. His owner passed away. That is why. Anyways, I really need help in understanding why in the morning he always runs away and hides in his little home. Not even treats bring him out. Is it something I am doing wrong?

Good vid, appreciated :) You missed one important behavior tho: Digging! Apart from it simply being a natural behavior and fun for them, they can also "angry dig", my female bunny does this especially when in the box on the way to the vet, she will angryly dig the hay arround, looks really cute but she is pissed :D

Im having to panacur both my rabbits again because of one of them having an e cuniculi tilt and roll atm, and the other rabbit it really annoyed about being medicated. So im getting angry thumps and foot flicks after i syringe her every day. Her sister is more annoyed that i keep on putting her in a laundry basket when she starts to roll, she doesnt like not being able to get to her litter tray when she wants to, but im not going to let her roll across the room to it when she wants to go, and she hates sitting in it when she's not using it, so laundry basket until she stops rolling and then just changing out the towels in there it is! Sorry for the ramble. Shes improving slowly but its been a week of sleeping on the sofa for me so far. Thanks for your awesome videos.
