Hi mate, I've got myself a Transit Connect almost identical to this and was really scratching my head with where to even start with the bed as it's a SWB model and nobody online has any designs for these! Don't suppose you have any designs/dimensions of everything you used that I can have so I can get my wood order in? ✌🏼

Hi buddy how did u no where to drill it too the floor what sort of process did you go through and is it screwed into the ply on the walls or metal supports thanks

Hi, Great videos. May I ask what is the height of frame of bed without any cushioning added? Thank you

Have you ever considered using riv nuts to give you a solid fixing to the metal work? They're a lot more solid and stable

Hi there can you tell me where you bought the flip up bracket supports and what they are called. They are just what I need for my micro van build. Great helpful video.

Search eBay for flip bracket and they should show up

Hello mate, this video was super useful, I was wondering how you went about covering the foam you cannibalized from a caravan? I'm probably going to do something similar, but short of using elastic bands and a bedsheet, I have no idea how you made that seat/bed look that awesome. Thanks.
@TheCampervanBuilder5 жыл бұрын
The cushions came with covering on them, I just sewed them where needed after cutting, I’ve done a few since where I’ve done the full new upholstery, a cheap sewing machine and practice can save you hundreds compared to having it done by a company.

@@TheCampervanBuilder Excellent stuff, thanks for getting back to me. It might make me sound like a cretin, but that never would have occurred to me. As a bonus, I'd be able to repair the hole I ripped in my underpants. Cheers!

At 3:29 how do you know the screws you put into the metalwork won't come out from the other side? Is there a way to do it if there's no interior metal?
@TheCampervanBuilder6 жыл бұрын
There are inner & outer metal panels and I only secure to the inner panels and plywood, ensuring any screws used are not too long to go through both inner & outer metal panels

Did you screw into the cellotex at all when fitting bed to the wall?

No there would be no support from it, aim for the inner metal support beams and stronger sturdy support
