Arteta's biggest concern with Nwaneri will be his OOP/pressing, which is key to how Arsenal dominate their opponents. He looks quite mature on the ball, but Arsenal is Arsenal because of how Ødegaard leads the press.

Really feel like Sterling & Jesus need to step up in the next month and a half as it’ll allow for Saka and Havertz to potentially come in as the right and left 8’s. Nwaneri is ready for a decent amount of minutes but it does feel like a bit too much pressure is being placed on his shoulders by fans. I don’t trust Partey’s injury record or Jorginho’s legs so more midfield depth from other areas of the squad would be a big relief.

Nwaneri is young but has the talent and deserves a chance to shine. No one said he going to produce odegard numbers. Faith in arteta for introducing him last season into the team and must be going to feature in the shirt for years to come

Am I crazy to think that he’s similar to Foden, very good in tight spaces, can play across that whole area in the final 3rd but also able to drop in and receive from deep and make things happen, also has the ability to score from outside the box but also get in the box, just me?

Having met Ethan a number of times after 21s games Yeah he’s not arrogant in the slightest. One of the nicest guys you could meet but definitely a quiet humble personality. Feet firmly on the floor.

Nwaneri is an examptioanl talent there are two x-Gooners who were about this level at this age and developed with the right combination of desire and drive. Bergkamp and Fabregas.

There are those who had the talent and for one reason or another couldn't maximise it Wilshire, Anelka, Ozil. There are also the like of Wright, Adams, O'Leary, Bergkamp, Odegaard that evelve their game as their career develops.

I don't think that of a shot is actually on that Arteta will coach it out of him. It is about improving decision making at the elite level of the sport. Lots of players can just shoot on sight, doesn't make it the right thing to do. What he will coach is how to get into better positions to shoot sooner.

For someone who hasn’t seen him play, the description you just gave might sound like an exaggeration, but he genuinely has an incredibly high ceiling. It’s clear to see, especially if you’ve followed his development through Hale End, watched him in the England youth setup, or even just been introduced to him as recently as this preseason.

I would love for Saka to get some rest, but because Sterling is still adjusting to our off the ball press and defense, I can see Saka starting and Sterling coming on in the 60th+ minutes.

Ultimately I see him becoming more specific in his prime (CM) but will always have a Bernardo Silva esque level of versatility (F9, RW, DLP).

This is another criticism I have of a Arteta. I completely understand keeping your cards close to your chest but sometimes it goes a bit too far. What on earth is "a while"? When he knew Saliba's season was over he downplayed it. Same with Timber. Why give fans false hope? Give it to them straight so they manage their expectations.
