Made to look so simple, again. I need to learn how to use my timer before doing any complicating jobs. Thanks for showing us Martin, merry Christmas and happy camping in the new year

Hi Paul & Bianca, it’s a easy job to do. I must admit I haven’t set the time in the past due to it not saving the time, hopefully this will do the trick. Thanks for watching, Martin 🙂

Great video , one suggestion, a cable tie around the battery pack to help keep the batteries in place while towing. Love you video's and looking forward to next year. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year from all at HitchUpAndTow

The battery pack is quite good, it holds the batteries in well and can’t see them coming out in transit. Thanks for all your support, have a great Christmas, cheers Martin 😊

Hey Martin - I did purchase one of these immediately after I watched your vlog, although I don’t do fleabay, so ended up getting an Alde named brand one. I could have made my own but sometimes the easy option just works! Anyway, as we are still enjoying our extended CaravAnniversary this week, I am catching up on some jobs in the Coachman and, guess what, finally got around to fitting this brilliant accessory... YAY! Really miffed Alde/Dealers do not fit these as standard to be honest, we’re in the 21st century aren’t we... 🤷🏼♂️ Anyway, it works briliantly, was a piece of cake to fit, after watching your worked example, although we have the touch screen version, so thank you very much for that matey, brilliant job. Cheers, Rog... 👍🏻 😉 🐍

Hi Rog, I don’t understand why it’s not fitted as standard, it’s not as though it’s expensive. Glad it works fine, I’ve not tried mine out yet and don’t think it will be a while before I can 😏 hopefully get out at some point this year. Cheers Martin 🙂

Good job that Martin and will save the hassle of reprogramming every time you go away and set up 👍🏻, just wondering if all the Alde control panels have the facility for a battery backup🤔 as I could be doing this when we receive our new van. Wishing you and your family a happy Christmas 🎉 and a very merry new year 🍺
@TheCaravanNut5 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, yes the newer panels have the battery backup facility on them. Saves keep programming it. Thanks for the support, have a great Christmas, Cheers Martin 😊

Hi how are you getting on with the tyre savers?
@TheCaravanNut5 жыл бұрын
So far they seem to be doing the job, having the van on axle stands helps take the weight off the tyres. I think I will use them when we are away for longer stays. Thanks for the comments and support.
@andrewmuckley22775 жыл бұрын
@@TheCaravanNut I also use axle stands, but will get the tyre savers too, thanks for the help

Hi Martin, I followed your vid, installed the battery back up and guess what, it doesn't work, I contacted alde who informed that the 3 volt back up only works on the newer touch screen model yours and my control, the 3010 model, needs a 12 bolt uninterrupted supply straight from the battery fused at 1 amp.
@TheCaravanNut4 жыл бұрын
Hi John, I’ll be honest I’ve never actually put batteries in it to test it! I did this job before last Christmas and with everything that has gone on this year I not being away as much I just hadn’t got round to trying it. Thanks for the info though, Will put a note in the comments that it only works with touch screen, Cheers Martin
@Venomator.5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Martin, another great tip - does this do for the Alde touch panel version as well? It is so annoying having to reset the clock pretty much every time... 🤷🏼♂️ 😡 All the best to you and yours at this festive time and have a great 2020, cheers, Rog... 👍🏻 🥂 🐍
@TheCaravanNut5 жыл бұрын
Hi Rog, yes this works for the touch screen version. Thanks for taking the time to watch, comment and support the channel this year. Have a great Christmas and new year. Cheers Martin 😊
