There are tough times for everyone. Blessed are the troubled who have just one good friend. One of my all time top 10 songs. Carol and James Taylor among the best ever.

the admirable mS King, I got a record player from a friend in the early 2000s and went to get some classics, and tapestry was one of them, I was shocked how many world famous hits it had, then I put it on the turntable at the shop and fell in love with your voice. You are truly one of a kind and your contribution to music and art are beyond words, thank you!!!! big love and appreciation to you, always beautiful and inspiring, what a powerful soul.

Well, since she wrote the song - wouldn't it be strange if she didn't captured it brilliantly?

Live performance, no mistakes, on beat, in tune, in key, in harmony, no notes missed and her voice is still amazing, impressive as all hell. There aren’t many artists who can do that still

Tenho 67 anos e posso dizer que vivi os anos mais lindos do século 20-21 . Vivi nos anos da inocência da beleza do amor puro e leal. Músicas lindas, que enriqueceram ainda mais tudo isso. Sinto saudades!

Randy Newman has been writing songs since the early 1960s, but probably none of them as famous as “You’ve Got A Friend In Me”, the theme tune for the ‘Toy Story’ movie franchise. 2:02 [Medium]

I grew up listening to Carole King and the lake in the late 60s and 70s. I love this music so much! Brings me back to the good all days when rock ‘n’ roll was so beautiful and innocent.

So did I, it was such an amazing time to be alive with its ups and downs as we were all discovering ourselves. Look at humanity now!!! I'm so glad we have this spark of love inside from those years, that spark will never die and perhaps it will be the light that ignites the love and unity that humanity needs to move forward. Much love to all. From a Canadian living in Israel 💙🌟💙

such gentle souls singing such a timeless masterpiece...Carole King is one of the most underrated female performers of our time, along with Karen Carpenter💙💚💜🤎🖤
@rumpledskin79713 жыл бұрын
Two-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; Four Grammy Awards; inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, one of the most successful songwriters of all time with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion paying tributes to her; her songs have been covered by the Bee Gees, Roberta Flack and, yes, the Carpenters (who you mention), the first woman to be honored with the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize --- the list goes on. So, what exactly do you mean by "underrated"?
@alifmuhammadchicago3 жыл бұрын
@@rumpledskin7971 I guess she's arguably underrated among female artists in a nostalgic sense. Compared to people looking back at Karen Carpenter, Janice Joplin, etc. But, then again, not really, because I have no idea how the average crowd of the 70s would rank them. Ida know.
@rumpledskin79713 жыл бұрын
@@alifmuhammadchicago Nostalgic sense = Memory Lane = Cool. However, just because Karen Carpenter, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Etta James, Eva Cassidy or Carole King, are not the flavor of 2021, it does not mean they are "underrated". Young folks today are into Taylor Swift, Justin what's-his-name and all because time has moved on, tastes are different. I still listen to The Carpenters, Carole King, Tina Turner and the others mentioned, and the genres/sub-genres of blues, soul, flamenco, folk, rock and jazz but (like I said), these are not the flavor of 2021. Even The Beatles are more or less passé and musicians like The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy are just hanging on (by adapting to the demands of the market today). You, Mr. Alif Muhammad or Mr. Mike Rubin or I cannot change that. Maybe Simon Cowell can! :--)))

In 2001 my fiance was a tour manager. He was involved in a tour where various artists were performing in Cardiff. By then, B list 80s celebrities like Rick Astley and Paul Young etc I was staying over for the weekend and joined the artists and crew after the gig in the hotel bar. I had a lovely chat with an older lady about married life . Didn't realise until years later that Carol was Carole King. Wonderful human being
