Paul Bunyan and Babe are my favourites as well. Reason is that as a child I watched a Disney cartoon about them. Another legendary figure I love is Rübezahl (Turnip Counter) who hails from Bohemia, Czech Republic. Rübezahl is a mountain spirit, who helps good people and kicks the butts of bad people. And I am looking forward to more taxidermies and oldschool attractions. Those are among my favourites.

We could use Rubezahl right about now!.

When we were kids under 12 we went to Call of the Wild Museum and loved it!!!! That was in the 1960:s in Northern Lower Michigan, where we vacationed for 2;weeks every Summer in a fabulous authentic Swiss Chalet cottage my Father's friend lent us for accounting work he did for his business, at Mullet Lake, Michigan and it was so totally unique and atmospheric and we saw all the roadside attractions available because my Mother was a fan of them, verily, we had much exposure to the life in the forests of Northern Michigan and it is very gratifying at the age of 65 yrs. Old to see Call of the Wild again as well as the taxidermy restaurant not only for the memories and atmosphere enjoyment, but to know they still exist and are still as wonderful as ever for future generations. Thank you for this youth enhancing trip down memory lane and glimpse of hope for the future!!!! Attaboy, Carpetbagger!!!!

I don’t think Johnny Appleseed should be categorized with Paul Bunyan, as he was a real person. Casey Jones, Mike Finn, Johnny Appleseed are often “lumped in” with Paul and Sasquatch, but they shouldn’t be. Casey would be my personal favorite, as he was a true hero.
