I'm a 66 year old guy from Toronto. I'm just catching up myself. They seem to have gone through some changes. They did stuff like this but they also did standard 70s rock/pop (radio hit songs like "Just Like You"). Nash the Slash was well known in Toronto in the 1980s but I never saw a show. I'm going to check out more of these guys (I owe it to them after more than forty years). Nash the Slash R.I.P..

FM did a college Tour back around 1980 with SAGA, and they were INCREDIBLE! However, it was apparently more popular closer to the GTA schools, due to the Radio Signal Regionality. Their show came to Grant Hall at Kingston's Queen's University, which is a like a BIG Church; Spectacular Venue!

This is a great example of people doing something that they were born to do. Nash the Slash understood music, he played/performed music as if he were the inventor of music. He was so talented that watching his performance instantly puts a smile on my face. Nash had laser focus, for example Nash didn't want guitars on any of his solo recordings so when David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) offered to play/record on Nash's Children of the Night, Nash stuck to his vision and declined the offer. That's ROCK STAR BOSS

Ever heard of MAX WEBSTER? Kim Mitchell was the frontman, he named the band after a high school shop teacher. They were a good 70's band from Toronto..opened for RUSH alot but never really made endroads in the U.S. Checkout these songs by Max Webster: A million Vacations, High Class in Borrowed Shoes, Diamonds, BATTLESCAR - Battle Scar is with Rush, probably their best song. Kim Mitchell had some good songs in the 80's under his own name.... Lager & Ale, Patio Lanterns,go for a soda.
