It was originally the other way around on pricing. Originally, the MVS carts were much more expensive, so they didn't want operators buying the cheaper $250 games and installing them in arcades, not the other way around.

Cool to watch another video. By the early 90s I just knew one guy that owned an AES. It was terribly expensive.

wow no wonder those cartridges are so expensive, thats a serious amount of ROM storage in the 90s!

The AES was always talked about in hushed tones when I was a kid. Wish I had bought one before the prices went mad. I did have a JAMMA super gun and a one slot MVS for a while thats how I finished Metal Slug, took over 50 credits so it I had done it in the arcade that would not have been cheap
