The film has a lot of artistic value. The fact that its a animated short film makes the film simple and better shows the point. The sound also adds to this. There is no talking or conversations through out but there is still dietetic sound of what is happening (like the crashing of the planes). Powerful scenes like where the girl fails to help the small pilot and not giving up, make the film very entertaining. This short film will never be outdated. It shows us that no matter the circumstance we should always do our best to help out someone if we can. This girl has no previous connection with the small pilot but does all she can to help her out. The girl not only helps the girl but overcomes her own conflicts of not being able to get her plane to properly fly. They story is well developed and overall a great film.

The Borrowers (mostly Arietty), all the 20th century women aviators (who totally rock), and a little of "Up" (the beginning of the movie). Is this a classic children's novel? Oh, only in my mind? I can live with that.
@googleyeyes51223 жыл бұрын
Everyone is calling the aviator a boy, but I see a girl. Two girl aviators- well one in training of course. 😁
@googleyeyes51223 жыл бұрын
Okay, just watched the credits... 😩 guess it IS a boy. How tragic. It would have been so much more powerful if they were both girls. Just that women never truly got the recognition they have deserved in aviation. Only Amelia Earhart is known and that is because no one has been able to figure out how or where she died (though it is believed she was eaten by giant crabs- very gross).

The creator of this film, Alyce Tzue, has made a magical film with a great message...keep on trying/never give up! I am a school social worker who is teaching students k-6th grade about the growth mindset. This film is a perfect example of this positive mindset and team work. I love it, and so do my students!!!

This short was brilliant!!! A cute, heart felt story plot, great characters, a stupendous ending!, and the story boarding at the end was ingenious! It was cool to see the original concepts and how they changed.☺️
@enlinaresconpedrodelagarza7033 Жыл бұрын
Why it's cool if it's supposed to be educational it should have a message? It is not understood what is the value that stands out or what social effect the value that is being talked about has.

Someone wanna help me answer one of those question 😄 1.What is illuminated, what is in the shadow? How does the lighting scheme shape our perception of character, space, or mood? 2. How does the film cue particular reactions on the part of viewers (sound, editing, characterization, camera movement, etc.)? Why does the film encourage such reactions? 3. Do certain characters speak through their silences? If so how? 4. What is the music's purpose in the film? How does it direct our attention within the image? How does it shape our interpretation of the image? 5. How do camera angles function? How do they shape our view of characters or spaces?

this is the type of hard work and dedication that should receive youtube revenue. not some shitty react video doing it solely for views where they steal other peoples content or big corporations like watchmojo or vevo that had no integrity to begin with. Animation is truly an underappreciated art form.
@enlinaresconpedrodelagarza7033 Жыл бұрын
I'm not saying it's not a good piece of animation art, it certainly is, and I agree with what you say about the reaction videos. But if this is supposed to be an educational short, because it is suspected to be, what is the message it intends to give? I do not get it.

Why aren't you trying to make a better animation than this one if you have time?
@MrQwerty25249 жыл бұрын
+W Hulse Because it explaines the situation and scale better. He is the size of a pencil. Using a white pencil, which isn´t comon, will confuse some people and won´t leave such a strong impression.
@whulse16629 жыл бұрын
Ok sorry I forgot to mention that this animation was amazing and I loved every bit of it. It was one of the better ones shown in this channel and I could never do as good as they or he/she did. Now, with that said, it was a simple question about continuity. Now I understand thanks to the reply above me. Try to stay positive please.
@MrQwerty25249 жыл бұрын
W Hulse It is always good to search for plotholes, since that can make or break an animation. In this case i think they definitely chose for the better option, but no one can hold it against you for noticing and mentioning it.
