Nervous Insomnia after hearing teasers: "I don't know this might not be a good song, not hard enough" Me seeing Leez and Ollounder on producer creds: "Have faith young ones, the Masters are at work"

Dreamcatcher are touching on a very important subject here. Maison is French for "house", and they are singing about everyone's house, which is our planet. Previously they talked about online hate, now they are tackling an issue that impacts the whole planet and therefore everyone. Climate change is going to affect all of us, and it is already affecting many people. Island Nations will disappear under the ocean ("Save my home in the ocean"). Ice melts in the arctic and displaces people ("Save my home in the polar"). Forests get decimated by corporate greed and habitats get destroyed ("Save my home in the jungle") and disappearing glaciers and snow packs result in even less water for deserts ("Save my home in the desert"). People have a natural tendency to ignore issues that seem to be in the future - but climate change is here, right now. We can't wait anymore, and it is good that Dreamcatcher use their platform to promote change: "Break your habit now!" Musically I really enjoy the song. Like in BEcause, the rock/metal vibe is dialed back a bit, but it is still there and highly distorted. The more I listen to it, the more Rock I hear though. I especially like how the pre-chorus and chorus seems to appear out of nowhere, the chord progression in the bridge, and the epic end part. LEEZ and Ollounder have done it again, and the members are just brilliant. Respect!

Really good subject they are talking about definitely, but then HappyFace Ent. decides to release dreamcatcher NFTs... which basically goes against the whole message of this song... Fuck HappyFace.

I appreciate your musician's ear. The point about the how the bass was carrying the melody was great and what you had to say about the instrumentation underneath Dami's rap. Also you have the best account of what makes the bridge/final section so distinctive. Chaotic indeed!

I'm a non-musician music fan, and I love the musician's ear, too! It helps me understand what is going on, and the creativity behind it! Thanks Champ of Medium!

This is a strong comeback for DC. This song just hits right. The album also is great. Going by the performance videos , the MV and the album… this might be Sua’s era. She is really popping off. Her solo song on the album is insane. Her vocals and rapping seems to have gotten a lot better. She leveled up for sure. Dongie also seemed to have leveled up too. Her vocals are hauntingly beautiful in her solo song and she just looks gorgeous.

The sheer amount of musical elements you can isolate and then bother to comment on and talk about in your videos is just...amazing. It makes me so happy.

Good call talking about the note in the base. You can have and Em chord, play that Em chord again, but put a C in the bass and it becomes a CM7

That Dami part though, when she said "Be My Side" i feel like she screams to it although the voice were heavily distort there and i like it. Other than MAISON, Dami solo song and Starlight are currently my favorite for now.

The producers are their songwriting team of Leez and Ollounder so the music always retains the vision of it's creators. You're detecting the influence of Queen in this song, but not recognizing it. That could be Freddie Mercury on the piano, but it's Leez since the piano is his favorite instrument.

Yes! It's crazy to me how many people don't catch the Freddie Mercury influence

It took me like four or five listens to pick up on everything you picked up on first time through. The nuance of this track was lost on me at first, until I understood the bass line was driving the melody not the guitar, and then really listened to the brilliance that is the bridge and what follows. It's like there was so much going on my ear didn't hear it all. Alas, Leez and Ollounder have done it again, and created another masterpiece that defies genre labels. Great analysis/reaction!

Another amazing Dreamcatcher song 🤘 Maison has kind of an anthem feel for me- like you said it makes you wanna go punch something. The song and video call to save the homes (of the animals, and maybe humans too?), someone fight for them, and calls for us to break our habits (of polluting, of wasting resources). Again, Dreamcatcher talk about a topic that is not really adressed in Kpop otherwise... one of the reasons I stan them so much.

This isn't a metal song, but unlike almost any other kpop I know, it has that theatrical, operatic feel that certain kinds of metal have. Like, from the bridge till the end it halfway had the feel of (again I'm not saying it's literally a metal song) a Within Temptation or Nightwish kind of thing.
