@@silversabith Likewise on all fronts. I have gained a lot of appreciation for vocal sounds as musical instruments from her. For me as a layperson, I experience music just like any other art by how I respond emotionally. While I do not have to know the techniques that created it in order to enjoy it, having an understanding of what it takes to create it helps give me a deeper appreciation for the artists talent and work.

This is the best reaction channel on KZbin. When Elizabeth smiles, giggles, gasps, or tears up, she really means it. And although it complements the songs she analyzes, her honesty deserves a great deal of respect on its own. Just let the music do what it intends and maybe you will find yourself as moved as she is. See 9:15 and 20:27? That's real and it's absolutely beautiful.

The honest, vulnerable, sincerity with which you react to every song you hear, reminds us all to stop and allow ourselves to feel and feel fully the emotions that come through music when we hear it. Listening to music can easily become a mindless automatic thing that we do while driving, working, etc. and so much of it's poignant message is lost along with it. But when you unashamedly show how you feel in your reactions with such authenticity, it somehow gives us permission to do the same. It empowers us to be overwhelmed with emotion and knocked off our feet with the meaning and beauty of the music. Thank you.

This was an incredibly emotional and passionate performance of this song by Andra, for all of the things you said, Elizabeth, but unfortunately, I saw Morissette Amon covering this song first, live on the Wish Bus recording, and now I can't not compare everyone to that, which is still by far my favourite version. This is incredible, and I know it's Andra's own song, but for my own personal tastes, I like Morissette's rendition better, without taking anything away from this version. Actually.. I don't know if you caught it but, along with what you were saying about the way she presents her enunciation as if she's talking with an old friend.. during the quieter parts of the song, when she's not having to push her voice all that much, she takes the time to clearly and completely enunciate each and every word but during the moments she has to start pushing her voice she begins losing the "th" sound in some of the words as well as starts dropping the final "p" in "rise up" replacing it with a "ov" sound almost as if she's about to say "rise over" or even "rise off/of" almost as if she's summoning up a rich accent from the deep south! You can even clearly see it in the way she shapes her mouth while doing it! I like it.. it gives me the overall impression that there already exists a comfortable familiarity between the two of us.. almost as if it wouldn't be too far fetched to imagine that you're just finishing up your ice tea out on the back porch in the bayou, catching up with a cousin you haven't seen in awhile while waiting for the rest of the family to show up at the reunion.. you know, that comfortable feeling you get when you're around people who have that unspoken understanding of your currently surrounded by the best protection money can't buy because, like you, if something ends up going down, they're all in, no questions! Lol!

Do you ever react to choral music? Stellenboch university choir has a KZbin video of their performance of Indodana that makes me shiver every time I listen to it! I do hope that you listen to it sometime even if you don’t do a reaction video. I love your videos and always learn so much from watching them! Thank you 🥰

Colwyn! I did a reaction to Helloween "Keeper of the Seven Keys" last year, but had to take it down to copyright. I might re-release it soon, so keep a keen eye out!

I think you should listen to Harry Styles Sign of the times on Graham Norton show, Falling live at the Brit Awards or his version of sledgehammer on Howard Stern.

I would absolutely LOVE a video about the french "kind of black metal band" Alcest. Their song Autre Temps would be perfect 🖤 the lead singer Neige has the most beautiful voice and he uses screams very deliberately to express emotion. Also, the lyrics are an otherworldly poem: The golden leaves dying on the ground, Will be reborn under bright skies, As this weatherworn world remains the same, And tomorrow, you and I will be gone. (English translation)

I can't wait until you analyze some of Lady Day! Billie Holiday is one of my favorite artists of all time. Another singer that I see in a similar vein is Tracy Chapman. If you haven't heard it before, I highly recommend her "Across the Lines" or "Behind the Walls."

Please review Kate Miller-Haidkte doing Zero gravity at Eurovision final. You won’t be disappointed. Opera crossover, crazy range and ridiculous core strength singing on a bendy pole!!

Hi Elizabeth, love your videos. As a suggestion try Desert Plains by Judas Priest, studio version.
