Andra Day sits in a very short list of singers, who can be identified on hearing one or two notes Shes soulful, sincere and totally unique and has a beauty about her which is entirely natural..

I was never a veteran, (although if I could have been I would have), I was an EMT/Medic for 25 years. I have PTSD and my body has been destroyed from so many years of lifting and moving people. I pray everyday for out veterans and active duty members that they never have to experience this pain. God Bless them all.

I'm a former Navy Vet. I may still have my physical ability, but mentally thanks to PTSD I've been through a lot. That's why this song speaks to me. I'm an endless optimist. And Every Day, I rise up. My story ain't over yet. And I'll do it a thousand times.

Beautiful. My husband was a 1st Responder who was injured on a call. He was in the trauma unit and given 18 hours to respond to treatment. I don't think I've ever prayed harder than that night. Our famili, friends, and community really stood in the gap for us. He spent 18 months in the hospital and rehab. I've never left his side...not a brag just a fact. He's my person, my baby's daddy, my best friend, my lover, my ride or die! We were told he'd never walk...he walked; told he'd only have 25% of his physical abilities and he'd always need a walker...he walks with just a cane. He had to retire but having him home with me - I'd take him no matter his abilities. Real love ain't for the weak. Believe me, I've cried a thousand tears, been worn to a nub, hidden my frustration. Its worth it all! Glory to God, we did rise up! And we do it every day. I'm commenting in case someone needs encouragement and reads this. You can do it!! Also - from a Navy man's daughter, thank you for your sevice!

Woohoo, so glad you took a look at this video. I came across it recently and across your reaction channel recently too and couldn't wait to see if you would accept challenge and feel and see everything in this video like I did. Thank you for reacting to this and for being a great veteran warrior for our country and sharing your emotions with us from that personal experience on military duty and life in and out of service. ❤
