But I get it because Stephanie’s calling is clearly about building community. Her dreams don’t come true because of just her, because the dreams inherently center around community. She dreamed of having a chateau where all her friends and family could always come together, I don’t think she ever dreamed of being alone in one, so from the beginning, the vision of Lalande included other people. I think she is a born leader and the type of person who has always brought all types of people together, “the glue”, as they say, but her mind must have been blown when she starting seeing that the community she was building was becoming a global one!

Dear Stephanie, I am writing to you with a broken heart. My grandson Peter went to heaven yesterday after only having 12 days on earth. I never got to see him in person, his mother and father never got to hold him or even nurse him. The only thing my son was able to do was tell him he was loved and how proud he was of him. I know you went through great grief so I feel I can share this with you. I will send a picture of Peter to you to put in the Chapel.He had such a short life I don’t want him to be forgotten. He was so beautiful I never saw him with his eyes open but I know they would de very kind.

She always makes you feel like she understands your pain even though she really doesn't know us. That is why I love this community. My daughter brought me to her channel by sending me her Sunday at the Chateau video about Blue and White Spode because I am a collector of Blue Willow. Kudos Stéphanie, you look radiant and you give others the chance to share in your happiness. You, with the Lalande gang, Michael Petherick, Billy and Gwen, Phil and Angelina, Dan and Annalise have all helped me get through a very difficult pandemic doubled with lung cancer treatment. I am better now, in part thanks to you all. Lors de mon prochain séjour en Europe, j’espère pouvoir trouver le temps d’aller vous voir, tous! Merci pour tout.

Every single emotion possible was triggered in this amazingly frank & honest vlog. 🙂😅😢😍🤗 It was beautifully presented. I've been subbed since back in those early teething days of the portrait mode and have loved every moment watched & shared. Thank you Stephanie and the LaLande team for every hardworking hour put into this wonderful channel. I am so happy that it has been such a success and it was a pleasure to watch it grow to the heights it stands at today. I look forward to continuing watching as it grows to no doubt dizzying heights in the future too 🙂 Your father was right all along, you made the right decision in buying Lalande and every move you've made since to renovate it and build the community, not just within it's walls but the community that reaches the far corners of the earth! Very well done, I am thrilled for you. A good heart reaps good rewards.

Stephanie is such a power house of a host...I can see her having her very own TV show. If I were head of talent at a network, I would already have her under contract.
@chasethecat38393 жыл бұрын
I agree but it may take her from us lol. I think she should also host a history show. Chit - she could host so many different types of shows. I hope she gets as much success as she needs to achieve her dreams and will happily follow those successes should they be public. I have a sneaky suspicion shes becoming well known enough we may very well see her scouted for TV

I watched Escape to the Chateau DIY when it was first shown in the UK so was introduced to Stephanie and Chateau La Lande back then. I recently watched a rerun if that series and was reminded of a young woman who didn't always look so comfortable being filmed and presenting the work being done at the time. Now, we see a very confident woman who has taken to the whole presenting, filming and editing, and providing content of interest, like s duck to water. Sadly, too many others have been inspired to copy her success but do not have the charisma, or real interest in their viewers, to pull it off. However, good luck to all. Thank you to Stephanie, and all that come and go at La Lande, for being a breath of French air, with a touch of English eccetricity, and international flair.

Stephanie you were born to bring joy to people! Your persona is just so honest, approachable, a really authentic person. All that great energy transmits across the oceans. I have been hooked for months, incognito from California watching your glorious videos, I am not alone I'm sure your viewing audience is at least triple of what KZbin counts as viewed. Someone made a comment, you are perfect for your own hone design talk show, or some Hollywood role, and so agree. I enjoy the eloquence, and all the beautiful details only someone like you can highlight, with such beautiful words and complete unscripted humor. I love the family you have created there, Phillip is fantastic, both of you can read each other's minds, Marie, Nick, Mati, everyone, all great and funny and their own personas that add to the wonderful mix of talents. You may not read this note, as understandably are busy with over 100K viewers. But as a designer myself, I appreciate everything you do. And hope one day to visit and lent a hand. I will sign on your Patreon for more information.

Thankyou for saying that. I couldn't work out why I was so emotional. I think it is because we all see our own struggles (on a much smaller scale) being reflected in the Chateau and so we feel uplifted when we can see Stehpanies success. It helps us feel more positive about the challenges we face and encourages us to 'keep on going with the big stuff' but take the time to surround ourselves with beauty as we do so (cut flowers, an old crystal vase from a brocante, a second hand yellow velvet armchair). A reminder that beauty can be found everywhere and it doesn't need to cost a lot. Blessings to the Lalande team.
