As we age our priorities tend to change. To me who am only 65, this does not look one bit comfortable going by all those stairs without a single elevator in sight. Also I would probably not like to pay all the money to keep it warm in winter. When they built these affairs they had other priorities in mind which we have superseded and elaborated upon. For the money that this would cost to ameliorate and renovate extensive parts of it, I have seen far more welcoming and beautifully decorated chateaux in comparison. Where is my full size billiard room here? Where is the awesome office? Where is the ballroom? Where are the staff's quarters? Where are the stables? Also, being more than average tall, my head would get more than a bang forgetting to lower it every time I would have to go from one room to the next. Most of it actually makes me feel claustrophobic. I wouldn't wish to live there for free let alone. And that's now when I am still physically independent to a large degree.

Most of us that are vaccinated by these gorgeous Chateau have anxiously been waiting for this particular video. We knew that Stephanie, Phillip & Davey had surveyed the property for the potential buyer and then they bought it sight unseen with the exception of this video tour. Knowing that made us aware that it was an exceptional find. We were thankful that the sellers permitted the public viewing of this magnificent property tour. We are planning on purchasing a Chateau as well and these videos help us getting a better understanding of what it is that’s important to us (& what’s not). It’s clear that this one is a rare find, the details, the condition and gardens are magnificent. Can’t wait for part 2. Thank you Stephanie & Phillip!

If you are looking for Chateau in the similar price range, my advise would be to look for something newer from mid to late 19 century. May be as old as 18C, but not the medieval Castle made to look like a Chateau. The interiors are not really well made or period 17- 19C these are all modern installations from early 20 to post WWII. Compared to real 18/19C interiors and Chateau architecture this XXXL remnants of a castle have little attraction.

Boy, now I have to say, this chateau had just about everything going for it. Really fine shape for the age. Did see a few cracks in the stone that can be fixed. It had really held together well for so many years. These places take work and a lot of love. I really enjoyed the tour. Thank you.

Even as a child I was intrigued by castles and chateaus and always wanted to live in one.This was amazing and so well kept and in great condition and wonderfully decorated and restored. It would cost a fortune to upkeep the garden and the house but if I had a fortune I would love to have this amazing place❤️

I get lost easily though, and was thinking that I could get lost with all the stairs and just walk around forever! lol. But it would be enjoyable and would not mind being lost at all, as long as sooner or later I found the kitchen, and my own bedroom when it was time. That would be fine. Sooner or later I would find a way to walk outside am sure if I just kept moving. The basement although nice would be a place I would not want to be lost in the tunnel and would be a "definitely not to be left alone" though. At * Beardsley's Castle" in my area, they call that the 'Dungeon' instead. Although part of it is now a bar area. They have weddings and it is a Restaurant on the upper two floors. This is truly a castle/Chateau! All the secret passages and it is just absolutely someone's dream come true! Oh yes, that is Julie's and her partners! They are blessed. May they do well and enjoy it for a long time!

A beautiful chateau and gardens! The would think the most important thing should be the state/health of the building’s windows, roof, walls and so on? The decor, colours, chandelier is something secondary.

i think id rather have a kitchen ground floor. It is nice to have a second private one way on top floor in private quarterss. Mainfloor okay. but know that otherwise it is steps to bring food down to the dining area from the other floors. steps steps steps..There can be tables and . bbq outdoors and easily into the dining areas through those direct access doors.
