Wonderful video as usual. I love the way you mix old and new. The yellow curtains do bring “sunshine “ in, and your sewing is amazing. I like the way little imperfections ( like on the bed) do not bother you, I can see now that they are beautiful and add a story . I think a video on all the different hardware in the chateau would be interesting , I was surprised at the hardware when you opened the door. Thank you for a nice ending to my Sunday❤️

I can't believe you have the Springtime poster of Pierre Auguste Cot's painting in your bathroom. I bought a replica of that same painting over 2 decades ago as one of my first grownup pieces of art, and I've always been so in love with it. I find it to be so romantic, as it reminds me of my young love. It truly is one of my favorites. I find that our similarities are so numerous that it's almost comical, being that we grew up so differently and all the way across the ocean. I love that you just keep improving all the rooms of the Chateau, but still keep all their original historical charm. So well done.

Dear Stephanie, thank you for another beautiful "Sunday at the Chateau." I so look forward to each new vlog on the weekend as well as during the week. You are a true Renaissance woman with all that you make and do, from sewing curtains to baking to singing and art appreciation/historian/conservationist. I think it would be really nice to have more history, and some deep history, on Chateau LaLande and the surrounding environs. Plus I would like to see some areas of the Chateau that are not restored, but may rather be as they were long ago, cobwebs, rodentia and all. Thank you so much for all that you do, and for sharing LaLande and her many stories with us!

A little bit like a mirror in a mirror, I am sitting in bed, with a pain au chocolat and tea on a Saturday morning after a veeeery busy working week in Covid 19, and I feel so lucky to be in an Irish Tower house that was first recorded in 1557... I'm watching you in Château de Lalande, reading about Catherine de Medici on her chateau, from this Irish Castle and thinking about all the women through history who lived in these houses... Those who owned and those who might have worked here. Thank you for your beautiful content that cheers us up in these difficult times.

Marvellous video. No matter how big or small a house is it always needs something done, the bedroom is probably the size of my house footprint lol you certainly have your work cut out. Radiator covers would make a big difference Im sure you could get one of your many volunteers that carve to make something really lovely, perhaps that folds so that you can take it down when needed, and adding a foil back to the radiator will reflect the heat into the room and not the wall ... look forward to seeing what you do with the room in the future. x

My idea for the radiator covering: There are (french) bed crowns. The decorative part in the front is wooden ornaments, but there is a metal rod going in an elongated U shape behind the wood. Imagine it like a shower curtain holder. These were used for holding the fabric of the bed drapes/ canapes. It's a lovely invention as you can exchange the fabric, put it aside and tie it together for the winter season and leave it hanging down in summer. It's like a bed crown for a radiator :)

The funny thing is that I lived my life in a Victorian mansion,a small one but a mansion never the less. I tried to decorate with As much as I could that was Victorian and Very liberal use of wallpaper… Very similar to what you have. Style that is not expense.I loved it. Today I’ve cleared out all of that from my mind and switched to a very Scandinavian type decor.. The main thing for me now is to have bright rooms White walls and bright furniture which in my case are shades of green, have taken the place of the Victorian antiques.
