Could you have Amaury build a nice big fabric cutting table in the attic or is it too dusty. Would be great to take your pattern to the attic cupboards, select your fabric, lay it out and cut it all in the one place. The table could be covered in a dust sheet when not in use to keep it clean. Just a thought as I remember you having to use the floor. Deborah, Melbourne

I used an old dining room table and later two saw horses with a plywood 4’ x 8’ covered board. Makes cutting so much easier on your back.

Always love to see Tatyana in a vlog, such an elegant woman, soft spoken and sophisticated. Your new hair Stephanie looks lovely, the cooks at LaLande are so talented , glad all the women ran to save the flowers. The closet shelves need liners but I guess it was decided not to put any, hopefully over time the wood does not stain the fabric.

I'm certain I've not missed a vlog, but I can't remember seeing any content showing the grounds in full bloom. I recall seeing a sunflower that had just revealed it's beautiful bloom, several passing glances of the courtyard, fruits and veg growing very well despite the cold wet summer, and other bits of the garden here and there......however with all of the gifts of seeds, prep last fall, sprint this spring, and long wet hours of work all summer I had hoped to see a tour of the grounds in full bloom. Please don't think of me as ungrateful. I am beyond grateful and fully aware of the tireless time spent creating these vlogs for us to enjoy... It's just that seeing bits here and there did not afford me, and perhaps others, a clear picture of the gardens splendor. I had hoped to see the magnificent grounds of the château reborn in vivid colors and textures; all thanks to planning, gifts, endless hard work, and investments. At any rate I now have an excellent excuse to watch the vlogs again......you know in the event I missed something. Not that an excuse is necessary to enjoy the vlogs once more. A second viewing will certainly allow me to take note of the background rather than the subjects themselves. Cheers!

I’m so happy to see how well the Cosmos did. I sewed some seeds of the same variety at our new place, (plus poppies) watered them all summer long, they never flowered then. Well, all the babying eventually paid off, as they are now in full bloom … they are so beautiful. They do lean over a lot but I believe that’s part of their charm …. Delighted to see you ladies running behind Dan to grab some cut flowers for the house. ❤️❤️ I never saw any poppies though. Hope you still have the seeds and will grow some next year. I know that Stephanie loves poppies. I do like the new, organized storage in the attic. Great to have Amaury there, too! I’m looking forward to Tatyana’s reveal. Being in Selmar’s life suits her … she is looking lovelier each time ….

I live in Canada and when I saw you ladies harvesting mistletoe I decided to follow my hunch. With our winters fresh flora sometimes can only survive by being dried. I am pretty sure all of our mistletoe in the past has come to us dry. So I googled it and this is what it said "You can accelerate the drying process by placing sprigs of mistletoe upon a layer of borax, silica gel or even cat litter in a shoebox or other covered container, then covering the sprigs with another layer of the drying agent and closing the container. The mistletoe should be desiccated within two or three days". So good luck with saving as much as you need for Christmas!

The marigolds will last in a vase of water. They will put out roots if kept near a window and with clean water. Then, you could put them in some pots in windows and overwinter them for some floral sunshine in the cold months.

Great, engaging vlog, I don't know which segment I liked more. Oh well, I have to admit, I'm sure you can guess, AMAURY. His voice would lead one anywhere and his skill with putting on "armoire doors" is unbelievable. I don't believe that one person could have got this monumental, organizing task done. It seems I saw three different women working on it plus the silver, toned "woodman". But your energy Stephanie leads everyone on. Saving the last blooms of summer was very sweet and the final bouguets were wonderful and well worth saving. It is curious and shows the big difference between male and female , how Dan was annoyed that he had to wait to destroy the flowers while Stephanie and Nattie kept running out and saving a few more. Good job too, because the little vases of Cosmos were charming. I could go on forever about this lovely visit to Chateau LaLande. Thanks.
