I am going to try this tonight. I am playing against a 2100 FIDE player as a 1850 FIDE player. Nothing can go wrong right XD

You keep killin’ it, Solomon! Strong work. The "fantasy variation" is declawed. The real problem for Black imo is the two knights attack. Congratulations again on your Master rating and your wedding!! Best.

Hey Solomon. Great banger again! Could you please bring out the "ol' but gold" scheveningen sicilian using najdorf move order to avoid the Keres! Also main line modern could also be another great video!

Thanks Lorenzo! Appreciate it, and ya thanks for the chess opening recommendation! Just took a screenshot of this comment, and also a "Learn to Play the Modern Defense" video is coming out soon!

Let's go Solo! Appreciate the good content. Curious do you plan to play in any future chess tournaments?
@TheChessGiant Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching as always! And I don't at the moment in all honesty. I've hit 2200ELO which was my goal. I'm not feeling very driven at the moment to go for FM. Tournaments are fun, but they take a ton of nerves, preparation, time, and energy. Just not sure I want to jump back into it. Not sure I'll ever play again as dropping 11 points to 2199 would be devastating. But, we shall see - maybe I'll get the itch to go back someday.

Great stuff Solomon. What are your thoughts on not taking that e pawn and playing e5 right away, as recommended by IM Alex Banzea. 1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. f3 e5 4. de Qb6 If white gets greedy and takes the extra pawn exd then Bc5 (Ne2 leads to mate Bf2+ then Qe3#)

And but if opponents know the nc3 na5 maneuver line he gets a very good position I play fantasy and I have 0 looses vs that line

Great idea! The Caro-Kann Defense is very strong. If you look in the description of video, you should see some links to other Caro-Kann Defense content I've made! Hope your 2024 is off to a good start, Thanks, Solomon

I hate the Fantasy. I lost first place at a Tournament this past January cuz of it. I have been searching a good way to play against it. IM Alex Banzea line is one good way, but I like this move suggested by Solomon, 5....Be6! It completely stops the idea for white White to place his Bishop on c4 right away! Thank you for this video Solomon 🙂👍♟
