Thanks SO, SO much! This was exactly what I needed to know, and it's so helpful to know WHY. Looking forward to exploring more of your videos.

Very clearly presented. I've learn a lot from watching your instructional videos. The videos are also in focus, your add some lovely gestures (like counting the tips you are presenting! :) ), and you speak slowly and clearly. PLUS ! -- they are all closed captioned, even they first come out! Thank you!

So happy I can help. I wish I could take credit for the captioning, but it's the magicians at KZbin. They are awesome!

Just making sure I’m understanding… My pattern says this.. S1, * k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, s1, k1, psso, k1, So these slips should be purlwise? Except for the psso that one should be knitwise?
@thechillydog2 жыл бұрын
Yep. The s1 at the beginning is purlwise. The "s1, k1, psso" is part of a longer combination and is slipped knitwise. (That combo can also be abbreviate skpo or skp, for slip knit pass or pass over.)

NOT TRUE when knitting Continental/Combined! Slip knitwise when on a knit row, slip purlwise when on a purl row. SSK/SSP is worked as K/P2tog from the front or the back of the stitches, depending on how they should "lean" as described in the pattern.
