Could not agree more about the height,HONDA DO NOT LOWER THE SEAT HEIGHT! just bought a 19 atas, on tip toes, makes me smile just sitting on it, best balanced bike I ever rode, last 3 bikes 2 gsxr 750 & a cb1000r, 21 inch front on the A,T is 100% fine on road 👍👍all the best for Christmas & the new year 🎉

Great for you. I had all the specific problems of this model: TFT touch not working when is cold, burning oil … enough for me. L.E. had the screen replaced and the head cover replaced, so should have a working touch screen and a non burning oil hopefully. Maybe the rest of small issues I'll fix , otherwise brilliant machine

I sat on a AT at the dealership about 3 years ago. It was so tall and huge. I couldn't flat foot (and I'm 5'10"), it seemed enormous. I settled for the CB500X...aka as the half-rica twin.
@AT2021Rocker5 ай бұрын
I love my 2021 ATAS! 5’10”, seat on low position allows me to flat foot which has been important when riding off-road and technical terrain. It’s not a trail bike so of course it feels heavier but not any worse than a T7. Great bike that allows me to comfortably cover highway miles to get to the off-road areas without trading off-road capability. Anyone who nit picks at this bike has simply picked the wrong bike for thier riding needs or is a ktm disciple.

Have a 23 Adventure Sport ES manual , out here in western Canada . One of the best bikes around out here . Long range , regular fuel , comfort and an engine and equipment that will take you there and bring you home , it’s a Honda . 21” front is essential for me personally and deal breaker . So the 24 version is a no go. I own a modern classic . Only 1 glitch , a very twitchy throttle especially in roll off to idle . User Program to minimal throttle response and minimal engine brake helps only a bit . Hunting for a solution so not quite perfect . But that’s it . I love my AT ! Cheers from the mountains . RS.

Evening great review I like you ride every day to work I have covered just over 10,000 miles since June 22 and yes I love mine too the only issues I have unlike yourself I find mine too tall as I’m only 5 ft 6 but I manage with a low seat I find the DCT extremely good but still not as good as a manual clutch but would choose a DCT again because it’s so easy to ride the only other issue I have when riding in the rain is my left foot gets very wet my right foot generally stays dry Presently for me my AT DCT ES is a keeper

EERA is worth every penny in my opinion. I absolutely love it. Imagine riding fast on asphalt roads and then quickly jumping on the very bumpy gravel road. I'm just changing a mode and my bike suspension is completely different.... you just can't replace this. Your front suspension will be always some kind of compromise... Changing a preload on the back? Ok, it is changing something but not that good. About 2024 africa twin: fortunately standard version will be much better than the previous standard. I will have tubeless 21 18 wheels. It can Have DCT and EERA... so all good except fuel tank capacity.

Nice update! I have a 2106 first gen standard model. Love it. Sometimes I wish maybe it could have a bit more power or be a tad more supple on the rough stuff but then I ride my 40 year old Harley and am shocked back to reality and realize that actually all the AT's are really good, and that I really have no inclination to upgrade mine - does everything I want and need it to do and looks f**k off awesome to boot. Shame about the new Adventure Sports model being more road orientated, feels a bit like dumbing it down but no doubt will be popular.

I have a 21 adventure DCT with similar setup as yours, plus swivel foot pegs for more boot support, barkbusters, front mudguard extension to reduce the stone chips on the down tube, quadlock phone holder, tire pressure indicator, but IMO I found the seat very very uncomfortable so at a big expenses changed it to Seat concepts but only a small improvement, they are on to a big winner as you cannot return it after its fitted, I then purchased a Airhawk which isn't perfect but make long haul rides bearable.

It’s only the 2024 adventure sports that has a 19” front wheel. The standard bike still has a 21”. Im hoping to get the adventure sports next year but not sure about the dct or the manual with quick shifter. With the lower centre of gravity and reduced front wheel diameter plus the torque coming in at lower revs it’s set up for touring and at 5’10” it shuld be spot on for me.

@Mrfish20155 ай бұрын

Might be worthwhile doing a DCT clutch initialisation to see if that helps with the clunky gearbox when cold. I do one every so often and the difference is noticeable in the lower gears.
@kevinf-b50656 ай бұрын
Agree plus frequent oil changes make a huge difference. Had a DCT Crosstourer but when that got too top heavy for this old man I changed to an NC750x DCT and promptly dropped it in a hotel car park! Not the bikes fault but maybe should have carried on with the Crossdresser 😁. It was great in the Pico's apart from some dodgy hairpin bends.

@Mrfish2015 I have the base model, 2021 1100. Motorway cruise at 60mph I get 60+mpg. If I'm out for a twisty blast, 45 to 50mpg. So range is between 200-240miles with 1 bar left on tank! Like your videos Fish. But.... seems odd to complain about the NEW AT wheel being 19 inches when talking about a DCT bike. DCT bikes are not legitimate off roaders. It's a road bike that can do some gravel and mild double track - get a 19-inch tire.
