Thank you again Teresa for bringing my little mom to me today. Such a gift you are! Losing her so shortly after this was filmed, makes it even more special. I hope no one misunderstands her saying she called him a “wuss” LOL they were just playful with one another. I benefitted from them being able to remain friends after their split, after a cool-off period, of course. HaHa i always say what an excellent example they were to me. ;-)

Hi Blue.. I saw your Mother for awhile when you were just a baby. I just wish I had attempted to look her up before she passed, as I wanted to chat with her about some things. She was a special lady.

What a very special piece these videos are... Thank you so much for bringing Carla to us. I’ve been a huge fan of Leon’s since 1971 and knew very little of this lovely lady. We are all lucky she sat down with you before she passed. Big hugs to y’all and heavenly hugs to Carla.

So glad to have seen this 2-part interview with Carla. Her accounts of Leon & the events in that time are so interesting to this nosy fan. Them bullshitting Warhol is priceless! More poignant is Leon’s frustration with the drug scene; just like George Harrison. Leon’s(& Denny’s)attempts to facilitate freedom for musicians from the restraints of the industry is explained... it’s just nice to have some of Leon’s personality revealed. I experienced his Paradise Show tour in ‘84 & wish I had video of the performance; indescribably-standing-on-your-seat & shouting-great!

Definitely not in love in a “romantic” way. 😉 But, they still had love for one another and spoke highly of one another all their lives. They remained friends and she and his first wife were like sisters.

Love at the end of the video there is a picture of Leon sitting between Carla and his then wife Mary. He’s hugging his wife, his two youngest children sitting on his lap. The eldest of the three resting her hands on Leon’s head. Nice picture.

I fell in love with Leon just recently I was living in Europe for several years i'm guessing when he shone the brightest. I fell in love . Many thanks to Sir Elton John I have lived my life with music and nursing. Leon had hands that were molded by God to be the great artist of centuries. his songs have been sung by many.... Leon's unique style was eternallly wonderful. His eyes saw through my soul especially as he watched some of the artists he worked with. Thank you and all Leon lifts and Sir Elton yes the world needed Leon and I pray he is kept in global memory, you all put Tulsa on the map.. the music was inspiring in every way. I can only guess Leon was not comfortable in the spotlight but his heart served well bringing others along to continue the Tulsa sound. I began music in church.,,, and God lead me the rest of the way. what an amazing man. I just watched one where Leon had a gospel singer picking out a great song Leon visible in the background you'd occasionally see .... the biggest proud smile like a proud dad was following his face.... ahh I thought his eyes were stunning . anyone who refuses to see miracles in each day please meet Leon from his early years to his return with a man who brought me from darkness to light Rlton then opened wide the sun light and Leon appeared. I was only recently reminded even in strangers presence with a phrase I beleive but since introduced to Leon.... we never die" How can we as we were rescued by love its love in our heritage that calls us forward. love brought forth the cry of any newborn any port as well as musician ... the music bring forth celebration band a love 💕 eternal how can that die I and as I pass in Leon to my children and friends yes he lives on loves on whether long dark hair and eyes that can see your soul or the man of silver long locks angelic thy name is Leon. He is and was a good steward of Gods Love as Elton sobbed at dr induction of Leon I cried in joy meeting him. My husband knows i'm in love and he is content in my choice as he was brought into my lucie as a miracle as was Leon. Sending so much love and every blessing your way thank yuu ❤

I can't find any time when Leon played "Me and Baby Jane" in concert, though I consider it his greatest, most moving song. How does the song relate to Carla, and has anyone ever heard a live version? Thanks.
