The Commando would be the only reason to buy a Norton. To not have it in the lineup would be foolish. If you can make it reliable, and at a decent price point, (no one needs carbon fibre on a classic) it would sell like hotcakes. 🥞

@@seauryakumar - I hope TVS can keep their price down for the Commando. High power isn't necessary, so they can use a small oil cooler instead of a radiator for liquid cooling like the BSA Gold Star. That first Norton can't decide what it's trying to be... it feels caught between a modern bike and a retro tribute. If you're going to make a retro bike, just make it look as close to the old commando as possible. Or copy the old Atlas, those were beautiful bikes.

I recently bought a 1200 Sporty and coming from always riding Brit bikes like Norton's and Enfields , I was shocked how top heavy the Harley feels . First riding impression was that the bike wanted to fall into a turn which was disconcerting to say the least ! For me, the Harley will be the choice for long highway trips, but for back road bombing I will stick with the Norton Commando or Enfield Interceptor . Not as much power ,but so much sweeter handling .

A year later the 850 came out and had electric start. The 750 could be problematic to crank at times. I love them and either one would smoke a Sportster. So FU HD.
