Look, I swear I am sewing, it's just that I am also crafting. My brain wants to hibernate and I'm doing what I can while still allowing for its whims!

But wait there's more! A PO BOX finally wahoo!
First, a disclaimer: So many of you have kindly offered to send me things, including vintage items you may have inherited, and I am so honored you would think of me and of course I do adore vintage treasures, however, unfortunately I only have so much storage space currently! So there is a chance that if something just wont work for me, or doesn't fit me etc, that I may not be able to keep all of your lovely things. Please only send things if you are okay with the possibility that I may donate items I just cannot keep. If you would prefer I put things that I can't keep into the TCH Etsy shop to help raise funds for me and the channel, please specify this in a note or letter in your parcel. Thank you so much!

I'd be interested in a room tour. I'd actually also be interested in a gallery wall how-to. I've been wanting to try one for a while. I love the shadow box project, and I am also a sucker for glass cloches. They can give such a Victorian vibe, and hey, less dusting!

Yes, this! I want all the pretty things, and to see them all at once, but dusting is just a pain!

Gallery walls are so fun! I tend to start with the largest piece or the one I want to be a center piece and then will build around that base on either size, frame style, or the colors/themes in the artwork or photographs. I like to have decently uniform sizing between my pieces, but am not a perfectionist about it.

I'd LOVE a room tour. As soon as you mentioned the gallery wall I was like "Oooo I hope she shares pics when it's finished." Your style is so fun. Also, I'm the same way about procrastinating on projects with other projects. Hopping between procrastination projects is the only way I get anything done!

Wonderful ideas! My granddaughter listened to me grumble, about the lack of variety, in traditional trimmings, for this holiday season. Lol, she would be pleased as punch if grandma would decorate everything in shades of Pepto Bismol pink and glitter. Hearing that other crafty people, are making due, is a little more comforting.

What lovely display ideas! I see cloche and think plant cuttings. I am pleased to learn new ways to use them. You are just flexing creative muscles. Sewing, beading, creating the perfect home for projects, making videos, glam shoots, etc. They are all different facets of your wonderful creativity. I am sure we could go on and on listing various creative things you have taught us. You are indeed a treasure. (You are the only person I know that would fret about not having makep and hair in place while playing with a glue gun). You are too hard on your self. Yes, please. A room tour would be lovely.

What a great idea. I bought a frame similar to that to put all of my late father's airplane tie tacks on. He worked for Lockheed Aerospace for almost 50 years. He retired 3 times, as they asked him to come back twice. I love that backing idea!! I have been procrastinating for several months. I guess it was just needing your idea to get me started and to try to find my ribbon box out in the garage.

A room tour would be fun! My friend's grandmother also had an interesting way to display brooches. She took a large picture frame and made a tufted pillow which she inserted into the center of it where she pinned her quite extensive brooch collection. Although I did not take much time inspecting the construction of it, I am sure she just took something like poster board to make a backing and then simply attached the fabric and stuffing to it. I was fascinated by it and wish I had a photo, but alas cellphones were not a thing at the time. Thanks!

You can make your own hinged shadow box, if you can’t get one the size you want. 2nd hand picture frame in the size you want. Hinges/screws Wood for the back frame, or another picture frame in a compatible size/depth. Corner brackets are optional. Ideally, pre-drill tiny holes for your screws if you’re using thin pieces of wood, to minimize the possibility of it splitting. Whether it’s actually cheaper/worth the effort for you will depend on a number of variables, but it’s an option. Particularly if you have all or most of the supplies already and the necessary tools. It’s a pretty approachable project to have a kid help with and learn to use saws and hammers and screwdrivers.
