You have no idea how much I love the concept of seeing ten (or dozens) of giant enemy bombers flying over the battlefield. The absolute fear that it would instill in the enemy, regardless if you win or not.

@Strider_5001 The 12,000lb "blockbuster" was specifically developed for strategic bombing. It would normally be dropped with incendiaries. The HE would generate rubble that the incendiaries would then ignite. It is true though that the 12,000lb version came fairly late and the 4,000lb and 8,000lb "cookie" bombs where used in much larger numbers as they where used throughout a longer timframe.

I was on the ground in the first map, lol. I was the Japanese M41 fighting a Tiger, and then a big bomb dropped on it and exploded after 10 seconds. When I looked up I saw a crazy amount of Lancasters. It was pretty funny.
