short question: you define religion as a game... with that, do you mean it as a real game (like a soccer game, or something that you can play) or do you mean anything else with that? thanks for this great video.... it helps me a lot for my presentation I will have to give at school... greetings from Germany...

If I may, I think Wittgenstein means religious language follows certain rules just as every game has rules to be followed. Language rules are learned through observation (‘don’t think, look!’) and usage. So it is with religion. A word like ‘righteousness’ tells us nothing of essence (sorry, Socrates), but it can be seen, so to speak, in practice.

Religious Lang isn’t factual Religious Lang is meaningful in own meaning like a game Early W he says it is not meaningful Later W says religious Lang plays its own role Early Tractatus -> only statements about the world can have meaning factual
