I was at the end of my ropes. I've been a mechanic for over 25 years. Forget every other video you have seen. The part of taking the harmonic balancer bolt out is beyond genius. As long as the head of the bolt is good, this method will work every single time without fail. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bobby

Just maybe a helpful comment, maybe include some torque specs for the bolt? Maybe the bolt size for the socket?

From the time I was 24 I raised all 4 ( 1 daughter & 3 sons) by myself.. needless to say if my car needed fixed I had to figure it out myself. Watching a video like this definitely would of been easier than reading a book. I tend to learn better by seeing how things are done rather than being told how their done. When I was 41 and my kids were all young adults I met a internal medicine doc. Online and we got married a month later.. that was 5 years ago. My husband has had everything done by others his whole life but now it's really nice to tell him to "hang on, I'll show you how to do it" and save hundreds of dollars in the process. Sometimes I wished I could just have someone do it for me but now I'm glad I have all the extra knowledge.Plus it was good experience for my kids to learn with me when they were old enough.. Love your fix it videos 👍🏼

Hey CP just a "food for thought", Firestone offers a lifetime wheel alignment deal thats not much more than the price of a single wheel alignment. (For the life of the car you purchase it for) I bought a used car, had it aligned. Two years later bought new tires... free alignment. Rotated the tires... free alignment. Had a blow out, bought a used tire... free alignment. See where I'm going here :) If you're traveling around the country, Firestone is nation wide so you can use the alignment deal at any location. Just an FYI. As always, thanks for sharing.

Life sounds great! Unfortunately I just went to pep boys for 106 did 1 year worth. 😱 Don't see myself having this car for more than a year. Maybe though who knows.
@thriftyflipside52757 жыл бұрын
Yeah as I was hitting the reply button I realized that you may have already went for the alignment today. Still at least you still have the opportunity to get more than one alignment in the years time. Thanks

Hell yeah. I had Lifetime Alignment from Firestone on my lowered 1992 S-10 Blazer. $170 and I got an alignment at least once a year or more, I could have gotten an alignment every day if I wanted to. They didn't count on me owning that car for 15 years! SUCKERS 😆

Nice video dude. I just got done doing a timing belt on a little Honda Civic, Ive been a mechanic for about 8 years but is still hate messing with cars seeing i don't work on cars anymore because i am a full-time reseller instead, But its good to work on your own vehicles because it saves you alot of money. Thanks for the daily videos.

You are welcome, thanks for watching. It is a good feeling working on your own vehicle. I need to get some torque wrenches and then I'll start getting confident in my work 🤗

I hope it's not too late for the video (probably is), but what's your sell-through rate on average given all of your listings? I think you said a couple videos ago that you had 250 or so items listed (or was that Codey? Can't remember.). My sales have been crappy, again, and I'm just wondering if you're doing good on sales, same as usual, or kinda slow? I made 7 sales this month so far and have 119 items listed so far - Monday and Tuesday I did 10 items and 9 items listed for each day, respectively, and it resulted in 0 sales. P.S. Keep up the good work on the Motorcycle and KIA Van! One day soon it'll all be done, run smooth as can be, and you'll love every minute of driving it!

Anthonyk747 have you noticed any patterns in sales over the years beyond the obvious seasonal traits. E.g try getting an old motorbike at the moment because everyone is looking for a winter project! I'm not sure if people being short of cash drives them to eBay to buy or produces more sellers and floods the market! My sales have nosedived after a good summer!
@Anthonyk7477 жыл бұрын
I can't afford a motorbike, old or new. My sales were total crap in the summer, then I got an excellent August Month with 16 sales, and now I've got a crappy September with 7 sales (and I've listed about 40 more items since end of August). I just spent an hour, went back, and edited all of my older listings to change the keywords around in the titles. Hopefully that'll do something, because RalliRoots just reported doing this and got an increase in sales despite their account being suspended.

I made some comments about some Sunnies rocking the Jackie O style in the item description and they went straight away despite multiple previous listings! And then I sell a vintage Phillips low energy bulb in it's packaging for way more than I thought it was worth and it was shipped to Australia under the Global Shipping Programme! WTF!

What year is this kia, I have a crankshaft bolt issue and im wondering do I have to pull the radiator to get to it?
@thecollegepicker6 жыл бұрын
It's a 2005, you should not have to remove the radiator.
@newenglanddipper21476 жыл бұрын
that's my exact year too, so my crankshaft bolt fell out. Did your do that, and was this fix with the upgraded bolt I appreciate the help but I don't have a mechanicl bone in my body
@thecollegepicker6 жыл бұрын
I used the same bolt. I believe you just jack up the car take off the right wheel, remove some of that plastic wheel cover. Then bolt it down to spec tightness with a impact wrench. I think I put some blue locktight on and full throttled my impact wrench because I didn't have a way to do it to spec. I'm not a mechanic do at your own risk. No liability here 🤙😎 good luck. Did your bolt fall out or break?
@newenglanddipper21476 жыл бұрын
It broke, I watched a video where a guy got a machinist to put some lag bolts into the balancer but I ended up just selling the car to someone else. but unlike when I bought I was straight up with the guy buying my vehicle
