Psemilla is actually so much fun. He’s mono white flash enchantress. Build a big board of enchantment creatures by just playing enchantments on your opponents turns, then play something like All That Glitters to one-hit people. Plus, he has crazy synergy with Constellation and Eerie.

The full art on the new Kykar is some of the most beautiful art I've ever seen on a magic card, AND it's an absolute value house. I am so on it

Dionus works with all elves that tap, not just those who tap for mana. Elves like elvish piper, deepwood denizen, eladamri, fauna shaman, glissa, immaculate magistrate, imperious perfect, timber watch elf, and more. The extra mana helps to power these out quickly as well!

Taeko is basically another ninja engine. Ninjutsu a creature onto the battlefield, because you can make creatures unblockable. Means every Ninja is now unblockable, so you don't have to run the 1/1 Rogues anymore. Scry is good for Yuriko for example or any other of the carddraw Ninjas. And I love it comes onto the battlefield tapped flavorwise, because it's a turtle

Evereth may not have instant speed sac, but she is genuinely scary. You can convoke city on fire after generating tokens and then sac all your creatures and kill her to deal tons of damage. Blade of the bloodchief or cordial vampire or tarrion’s soulcleaver make it even more effective. You can also use cards that double her power for the turn then sac her and do even more damage. Lets not further mention she lifegains the damage or if you give her infect she distributes poison counters. You can go goblins or treasures or whatever you want to get sac targets. She seems way better than Juri in my opinion (but you will likely run both!)

I think people are getting way too hung up on the activated ability. Which ironically might allow her to fly under the radar for a bit. You just need something like a damage doubler/tripler as you mentioned or something Bloodletter Of Aclazotz/Wound Reflection. Throw in a cheeky Tainted Strike for games you might run into life gain decks, etc.

I think the mark is way missed on Evereth. The 1/1 counters stay, she's a flyer in treasure color. Not only do you threaten to literally swing for 6-12 a turn but as soon as they try to clear you sac her to card xyz and slam the table for 10+ Or you just combo on your turn with a bunch of food/clue/treasure (thanks automaton) and slam the table for 40+ lifelink for that x3. Not to mention hatred + her is literally 2 card kill on 40 life

Yeah the activate only as a sorcery clause isn't relevant downside imo because there's no once per turn on it. Command zone sac outlets in black always warrant notice and the extra text there is a lot of icing. Sure you cant respond to a board wipe by sacing everything with her, do that with something elsw.

I know spellslinger may be best with the new Niv, but I feel it would ironicly be fun to do just a bunch of creatures that just tap for free and 1 damage anywhere.

The thing you're not understanding about elf decks, when you tap your stuff down for the mana , you came block with it. This card allows you to tap for mana and still block.

I would put the new Koma at S rank: youre in green, you can ramp quickly, if you have Koma out by turn 4 or 5, ain't no one going to pay 5 mana at minimum to remove your Koma due to ward 4 Youre in blue, you have access to one mana and free counterspells, to protect from most removal You alwo have access to lts of haste, creating those Koma Coils right away and hitting for 8 commamder damage and lotsbof damage doubling, card draw etc

Personally I am really excited for Rev, Tithe Collector. I am already play testing her in my Dimir Initiative deck, just because that deck already had a lot of small evasive creatures so she is effectively acting like a black Professional Face Breaker.

I’m confused about how you describe Alesha, it looks at her power and the other creatures mana value. So as a 2/2 she would only be able to grab a 2 mana value creature right?

He's been confused about the card even when he first spoiled it. For some reason he thinks she reanimates based on creature power rather than cmc.

That because the new Alesha reanimates based on power not cmc you return creature with mana value less than or equal to alesha's power

Is it just me or are there a lot of cards with an anime art style in this set? I like amime and I respect different art styles so I'm definitely not complaining but I'm just surprised.

A good portion of the jump start legendaries have the anime art. The normal foundations packs have primarily traditional art.

I think you gave Evereth too low of a rating. She has insane combo potential. If you can make infinite artifact tokens or creatures and you have a way to sac her, she kills the table.

Lmao dionus is the most busted piece of elf tech we've gotten since priest of Titania.... The mana doubling alone makes it A tier, but also all the other tap effects have that just put creatures into play... You can now do all of that twice.... And maskwood nexus is a card, so now you can make anything with a good tap ability an elf. Card is S tier, and printed at uncommon.
