One card you missed here is Crackle With Power, which just lets you detonate multiple opponents and creatures if you have extra mana. Because it scales on x*5, you can get absurd numbers out of it.
@theprogressivecynic24072 жыл бұрын
For example: if you make x=3, it deals 15 to each of three targets (ie, opponents), while reducing the cost from 11 to 8. Because of how it scales, every 2 mana you pay on top of this increases the damage by 5 to each target, and hits an additional target. Alternately, a much more efficient way to increase the damage is to add in a 2 cmc spell copier to double the damage, as the x value is copied (eg. 10 mana: deal 30 to three target players). I've won several games with just this combo, while holding up Rite/Pact to counter any potential counterspells.

It's an X red white instant that you can target any number of players and/or creatures dealing X damage divided as you choose among those targets. Players dealt damage cannot cast non-creature spells that turn and tap all creatures dealt damage this way. It was only $4.00 (US) for a copy. So it may not be less than $1.00, but still affordable.

Aurelia's Fury is a good addon even if it is a $7 card. Instant for XRW : deals x DMG among any number of target creatures and/or players divided how you choose. Tap all creatures damaged this way and each player damaged this way can't cast non creature spells this turn. So with Feather the Redeemed out... You target everything and everyone to bump the x up, then damage only opponents stuff for the lulz, and get it back to cast again for RW.

This card is very powerful in its own peculiar deck, and probably very good at winning if one build around that. But as someone who built this deck for a neon Dynasty Showdown using mostly only cards I own, the deck is powerful but also still very mana hungry. The deck I made got 1 play pattern, keep everyone occupied and let them best each other down while you control the field, then when you got enough mana and their life low enough you blast them and win. Everytime I played it it's been super fun and really interactive, but the game plan is just "Stay alive".
@Mikaelbrooks2 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't kicker/multikicker not proc like that? Because it declares targets after the card is cast, and therefore after cost is paid, so you wouldn't get the discount on mana cost per target, wouldn't you?
@jeezuhskriste57592 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t work like that, but not for that reason. You kick a spell as you cast it, which means by the time you’re actually spending mana, the spell already has the extra targets, so it does get the discount. However, it does not work the way he said it does in the video; Kicker costs are an additional cost, as opposed to X being part of the mana cost itself. So choosing more targets isn’t free, it still costs 1 mana. It just also gives an extra free mana to put into X.

I'd put in Swiftfoot Boots and Neurok Stealthsuit in as extra insurance for Hinata. Also for lands, I think ones with cycling would be good, because with Hinata reducing your spells so much, means you don't need a lot of lands in play. You missed a couple of really good cards for this deck, but I noticed a couple of good ones in this video that I missed too. Here's my suggestions: *Geistlight Snare* - Hinata is a Spirit, so if Hinata is on the board it only costs U. *Soulfire Grandmaster* - Very similar to the Scrollwielder. *Eerie Interlude* - Another great protection spell. *Disorder in the Court* - Similar to Semester's End and Eerie Interlude, but incentivizes bouncing every creature on the board, and rewards you with Clues. *Sublime Epiphany* - Can be incredibly cheap to cast with a plethora of effects. *Mass Manipulation* - Just steal everyone's creatures *Aurelia's Fury* - Pings and taps everything, but more importantly stops players casting non-creature spells for a turn when you can see they're about to combo. *Heliod's Intervention* - more fantastic removal for Artifacts and Enchantments *Crackle With Power* - The single best finisher for the deck *Brash Taunter* - Dealing mass damage? Target this guy and point it where it needs to go. *Monk Class* - Gives a useful discount on spells, can bounce, and will eventually start feeding you an extra spell every turn. *Glaring Spotlight* - I can't stress enough how important this is. Hexproof is the bane of this deck, and blanket hexproof will neuter it. *Detection Tower* - As above, too important to not take. I also leaned into tapping creatures as a sub theme, and took spells which became one mana cantrips like Repel the Darkness, Pressure Point, Shelter, which help to stay card-positive while spellslinging. Here's my build for comparison: deckstats.net/decks/131148/2420386-kirin-boi#show__spoiler although I will be reviewing it to include some of the cards you recommended.

Geistlight: already plenty of good counter spells in the video. Soulfire: its a 3 dollar card. Not sure if you even watched the video or this channel before but he only puts cards in under $1 Eerie interlude: its a 1.50 card see above. Disorder: 1.50$ card, again see above. Sublime: lowest market price is around 4$... Mass manipulation: $3 card... Aurelia's: 6$ card... Heliods: 5$ card... Crackle: 7$ card... Brash taunter: 3$ card... Monk class: so far the only card you brought up under 1$ on a budget edh channel with an under 1$ limit on cards. Kind of slow for the commander though, you shouldnt be having an issue keeping a stream of cards coming in considering you have access to both blue and red so have access to good draw and impulse draw cards without needing an enchant that can be destroyed. Spotlight: good suggestion may not have been under 1$ (since its price fluctuates a lot it seems to above and below 1$ ) when he made the video. Or just didnt consider it a big deal since blanket hexproof is more of a rare effect and there are other cards that can deal with the hexproof generators like generous gift and such in the list already. Detection tower: 1$ market price rn so yeah. You brought up mostly cards well above 1$ when his opening segment of the video and his channel as a whole is about decks made with cards under a dollar.

So? Drop 5 mana into the x and you hit the entire board and each opponent for 5. That is a one sided board wipe and 15 player damage for 7 mana which is pretty effecient. It keeps your commander on the board while also dealing with most creatures. Golden pig? Of the cards he listed i can see it. Best card with hinata? Not by a long shot but then again he has a 1$ limit per card and most of the cards that work well with hinata shot way up in price. Hell mass manipulation is now a 3$ card. Magma opus went from $1 to $10 because of this commander. Call the coppercoats is like 6$. Its actually insane how much a lot of cards shot up because of this commander.

I've been looking for a deck for Dismiss into Dream since it was printed and yeah, it's really dumb in this deck. It straight up shut down an opposing Feather, the Redeemed for me.

Friend made a Hinata deck and won the first time using it by dealing 71 damage to EACH of us. Another friend is so terrified by Hinata that he made a Gaddock Teeg deck just to counter Hinata. So yeah, super overpowered

How did they deal 71 damage to each player since that sounds insane

Do boardwipes count as multiple targets? So opponents have to pay more for boardwipes?

Unfortunately that card's price spiked recently because of Hinata - now it's about $5 so out of budget for my decks which is a shame!

Jesus christ i question whether or not people actually watch the videos. He literally said that all cards are under 1$. You then ask "wHy No 3$ CaRd In HeRe"
@CKarasu132 жыл бұрын
@@fallendeus Was sub $1 when I grabbed it a couple weeks ago. Just found out it rose up to about $2-$3. Not everyone checks the market every day or week on each card. A pretty simple mistake to make, but it sounds like you're not one to think of something so simple. Don't overthink these things, champ.

I've decided to one-up control by making a Land-Hate Hinata deck
