I have a mind flayer deck, and it runs a few of those busted cards. Hard not to with a mono black deck. I do try to make it more than just a value deck. It’s got an enchantment sub theme, some devotion cards, and then I have a healthy amount of other thieving cards. I want to get the mind flayer to be a creature! But I have noticed that the citadel or K’rrik are so strong that they sort of warp how I play the rest of the match.

Problem with Jake's intro, Eleven only makes instants or sorceries free, but Omniscience was shown as a deck haymaker, which is an enchantment, still amazing, but slightly wrong

I know the decks are tested to be on similar power levels and sometimes a game can just go crazy one way or another but this was crazy how far Jimmy was able to pull ahead and stay ahead. Really hope this isn't the start of something. 30:48 Saheelis Artistry copied a Legendary Creature. The card fully resolves, a copy of each target is made. Each cards enter the battle triggers trigger. State Based Actions sacrifice one of the two Legendary Creatures. instead we drew four cards and allowed clues to be made. Ultimately allowing the player to change his mind on which creature to sacrifice the token or the card

Nice of Jimmy to not end the game in 15 minutes, sad to see Jake not play the Rampant Growth at 17:30 or save the Arcane Denial, and puzzling to see life paid for Will the Wise and Jake + Kenji not exile the Grey Merchant; drawing cards or tutoring was needed to remove the Bolas's Citadel + Necropotence combo.

It's interesting to see these different combinations and ideas. They're so different from mine. The obvious one would have to be Eleven and Mike, the only 5 colour partners, and instead of just good stuff I'd have a few cards to benefit each commander like evoke cards and big spells, but I was mostly gonna focus on clues, and put all the stranger things cards in there to make it more of a flavour deck. Next idea is Max and Lucas, cast spells, untap Lucas, ping things down by giving him deathtouch etc. Last idea was Will and Lucas, but with lurrus as the companion, so it's like I'd have 3 commanders.

why they always wait for the end-step before their turn to search with their fetches? Whats the upside of that besides maybe not giving the exotic orchard of the oponent some mana? Wouldnt it be faster to just fetch at their turn while people play?

its technically correct. Lets say the person with a fetch has a counterspell in hand for example, if something happens i want to counter i can fetch an untapped land to use the counterspell, nothing happens I can fetch a tap land. So even if you dont have that option, holding that option up is technically better.

@@willdrum4food27 Yeah in those cases It makes sense, still, why do it on turn 1. Why do it while you're keeping up only colorless mana, or a single evolving wilds and nothing else I know the fetching time is not going to matter much, but it is a pet peeve of mine
