To be fair, it was a different situation; in the ad he was not annoyed at the other players taking a long time to do stuff, and was simply acknowledging he was not able to do anything as he was tapped out. And I'm sure he'd be fine if a tapped out player sat back and let him (and the other not-tapped-out players) do stuff until they could next interact.

There's not really another main 5 studied that the schools from strixhaven aren't already covering (Art, Math, Literature, History, Science) and my ideas are loosely based on what the other color pairs already touch on in lore.

@@chrispy6953 If we're going at it from the Strixhaven "the differences are more important than the similarities" approach, to differentiate it from Ravnica, I'd say it's more: * White-Blue: Self-Restraint vs Going too far to achieve aims - Psychology (most psycholgists agree both are needed sometimes, and being stuck at either end results in being too uptight or being too reckless, but those are the two ends) * Blue-Black: Nuturing skills/knowledge/etc vs Exploitation of those things - Social Sciences (pretty obvious when applied to people in a society) * Black-Red: Long-Term Earnings vs Short-Term Profit- Economics (pretty obvious) * Red-Green: Changing Impulse vs Ingrained Instinct - Medical school (how different doctors diagnose things) * Green-White: Nature vs Civilization - Geography (the natural geography of the world vs civilization's impact in terms of state divisions, etc)

Sometimes I think his decks are a little 'too' focused, especially on the set-up; he often spends the first few turns doing something...but then just keeps doing it. Which is probably because his decks are tooooo loaded with those set-up cards, meaning it's all he has to do (the wheel hand he showed kinda shows this). I didn't actually see ANY spell he'd cheat with his commander, whereas I'd expect a deck like that to be running 16-20, along with 20-30 cheaper instants/sorceries (which includes every ramp instant/sorcery less than/equal to 3cmc).

Also he copied Thermal Flux twice and didn't change the targets. The second and third one would be countered because the target is not legal (it wasn't a nonsnow permanent).

Wouldn't the copies be on the stack already when he makes the token? If he is resolving them they should all be on the stack, meaning they are already cast. That means the token of his commander shouldn't be getting pumped either.

He has been on the show plenty of times before so I am not so sure WoTC have a say in the guest list. In fact, from what I remember they said WoTC sponsors them for early access to their videos to check that they are all family-friendly since it is their game. They said so in their TWD secret lair video.

@@genericweeb3816 I believe he was meant to choose targets for every card before resolving any of the effects of those cards. One of those effects created a creature token after resolving it, so that token didn't exist to be targeted beforehand. That aside, we all make mistakes, and since it wasn't a super competitive match it's alright since it seemed everybody was having a good time. Hope this helps!

I didn't catch this, but I believe you are correct. Spells with targets must declare them when they are put ON the stack, before anything resolves. Well done.

All he had to do was aim the card draw at the person he was killing with explosion so he doesn't end up milling, there was no reason to draw those cards, you discard all of them anyway.

The thing is, the fetch should have saved him. All of Josh’s Mizzix’s Mastery spells needed valid targets as they were put on the stack, so the Accelerate shouldn’t have been able to give the copy of Veyran haste, because that copy didn’t exist yet.
