She cast her commander on turn 4 unprotected, with 3 other commanders already on the board. The chance she untaps with it are basically nil but it's probably her only option. For all we know she's got a bunch of haymakers like Cyclonic Rift and Insurrection and stuff to turn the game around once she's pumping mana out of her commander but when your turn 4 play is a 3/3 flier and your opponent responds by casting Plague Wind and Blatant Thievery in the same turn you just aren't winning that game.

@@OMGclueless Her decklist is online, and no insurrection, but she did have cyclonic rift. Overall, I thought her decklist was straight bad. mindslaver is actually soft banned on my group because of the feelbads
@johnbarrie4475 жыл бұрын
@@voltcorp That's fair. The deck already has a loop with Living Death/Greenwarden of Murasa, runs Spore Frog and Strip Mine, I figured I don't need to make it even more unfun. Especially since I already pilot a Niv-Mizzet deck that's quite a few steps ahead of what the other players in my group are doing. I want to have decks that can battle with the cEDH player who sneak into the pods at my LGS, but at the same time I don't want the group I usually play with (my son's friends) to hate it when I join them.

Lol no it's only a death sentence if you list doesn't even try to make up for it with artifacts. She was running like 4 ramps to signet's a sol ring and a command sphere. She should really have been running the talismans as well plus no tithe nor was she running any blue counters red rituals while feel bad for her looking at her deck list it's clear that she had no idea what her build around was which is why she was running 11 planes walker 6 of which did very little for her

@@Riboflav1n how? There are non basic lands that enter play tapped unless you deal 2 damage to yourself, and produce 2 mana types. Oh, and they share the 2 types that the basic lands that produce those manas would (the shock land that produces red and blue mana for instance is a mountain and an island.)

Catching up on older GK episodes and honestly, this one is rough. Between all the extra turn and Mindslaver shenanigans, MTG Nerd Girl not getting to develop a board and Amaz going way overkill on her mana base at the end, the whole thing felt like a competition for who could generate the most salt at the table. Props to MTG Nerd Girl for taking her licks in good sport, but man this game would’ve been better if everyone had gotten more of a chance to play evenly.

this episode auto played today 3/16/2022 after another a video I was watching so I let it run. What a brutal game! golos and Yarok, mindslaver, extra turn spells, decree of silence…it’s like someone made three pubstompers based edhrec salt scores and ambushed nerdgirl under the pretense of some “fun” kitchen table commander. Nerdgirl was a champ for putting up with these jokers :)
