This is how the business of Hollywood works. A lesser/unknown creative (usually the screenwriter) comes up with an orginal idea, a bigger named celebrity with money and juice becomes interested in the project and completely takes it over in product.Original Creator is pushed aside and completely forgotten, maybe gets an Orginal Story By credit or a pittance of money if they're lucky, or settles something out of court. So what? This is the way it has always been and it always will be. This is how they get movies made. They steal ideas.

@karenbowen47602 ай бұрын
I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you but what evidence do you have that Taylor Swift is a narcissist? By the way I’m not a big Taylor Swift fan.
@Cloudyconfusion2 ай бұрын
@@karenbowen4760 the narcissist abuse cycle involves love bombing (new or former targets as a source for the narcissist) and then discarding them. One example would be Taylor Swifts “best friends” who rotate each year depending on whoever is famous. ie taking Ice Spice to the Super Bowl. If you look over her history as a celeb she is constantly doing this with people, befriending/being photographed as if she is very close to people and discarding them. One example could be older celebs she used to appear very close to that she now has no contact with. An example surfaced a few weeks ago online of Taylor Swift having a security guard remove someone sitting next to her at an event so she could be closer to and photographed with Demi Lovato (who was literally sat right behind her and in talking distance). She is calculated with who she is seen with. Across the past 10 years you will find her always at events with the “it person” that year, yet rarely ever again unless they too stay relevant and help her image (narcissists number one priority- so people like Selena Gomez and blame lively at the moment). Another example is the “friends” she writes songs for each year changing. The relationships seem to cycle through whoever serves a purpose to her and her image. Obviously none of this is proof and it’s all my take, I’m not claiming it as hard fact it’s just interesting and could be possible. Another thing would be her “chart blocking” smaller creators, Narcissist like being in the limelight, so whenever a new artist releases a song and she decides to drop a variant of her old song to remain the center of attention- this is a very narcissistic thing to do, narcs are under developed emotionally so, like a child, they use protest behaviors to get attention. Another example could be the lyrics of her recent album. You will not find a single song that does not paint her as a victim, going as far to dramatically portray the events in an “artistic way” but the Thank You Aimee song is a perfect example of a narcissist portraying a victim constantly. As one of the MOST privileged and wealthy women on the planet- she is a victim and never victor in this song and the entire album. Remember she is a BILLIONAIRE, but according to her lyrics she is a victim/fragile/weak/bullied only (how a narcissist reframed reality, despite this being far from the truth). Some lyrics of that song include: the opposer “threatens to push me down the stairs at our school” (Taylor is a victim). “it was always the same searing pain” (everyone is always hurting her), “you were throwing punches” (again, she is literally a victim being bullied here, being thrown punches and receiving hate), “ I can't forgive the way you made me feel” (a narc will always choose a narrative of YOU hurt ME, over anything else), “As the blood was gushing. But I can't forget the way you made me heal” (she’s literally bleeding on the floor, a discarded victim), “it wasn't a fair fight, or a clean kill “Each time that Aimee stomped across my grave. And then she wrote headlines in the local paper. Laughing at each baby step I'd take” (her and her career/image- the only thing a narc cares about - were metaphorically killed according to the narc, despite writing this at a time when her career has never been bigger and arguably at the time this song was about she was also still famous and thriving…. Basically the entire song goes like this, & album for that matter. It’s exhausting and again reminds me of a narcissistic tendencies. I hope this helps

I'd give the audience in this situation some grace: mediaplay is extremely detailed and the average Joe doesn't have the time to examine all the ins and outs of these carefully curated images. also I'd argue it's in our human nature to idolize things: that's why Christians refer to those moments as a "God-shaped" hole. Hopefully this incident wakes some people up from blatant celebrity worship.

There are some actors and actresses where I hear the name announced for the film, and I will at least pay attention. Even if I really had no interest in the story concept, I might just watch to see what they do with it. Sometimes a script carries actors and vice versa, and sometimes an ensemble cast raises a product. Sometimes they have the complete opposite effect, and it's like watching a dumpster fire or a train wreck. Either way, I'm entertained. My point is that at no point have I ever heard Blake Lively's name attached to a project and thought, "Well now I have to see this." One way or the other, her husband moves the needle, but Blake? She's a telegenic actress that won't drag a production, but I don't see her as exciting. She's the celebrity equivalent of the BRAT diet-completely bland.

No something about the way they both were so involved in each others films was kinda odd to me. I love Blake, and some of the actors of the film did not outwardly say he was difficult to work with but basically…BUT it was HIS film, and on top of playing a disliked character he’s been pushed out. Idk how to feel but it did seem really strange to me.

Baldoni hired a crisis PR firm to help him out, after behavioral complaints were laid against him. They did their job, bringing her down in under 2 weeks 😮 You know how mad you have to be to return a product these days? Effort

Yup, It was Justin Baldoni movie from the start. All his movies are about moving ppl, reaching into ppls souls. “ Five Feet Apart “, 2 Ted talks, Men are Enough podcast, 2 books about men and boys being human and loving. He absolutely adores and is madly in love with his wife and kids. Emily too, is a powerhouse. On KZbin Emily and Justin: The Proposal , is so up lifting. They’re deeply spiritual and have a festival for the homeless in L.A. It’s such irony, here is Justin one the most decent humans especially compared to the shallow, lying, cheats and thieves, narcissists low life’s of Ryan and Blake stealing the show from underneath Justin’s inspiration and hard work. Thank you for bringing more truth about this drama. Justin was kind enough to offer a piece of the production for Blake joining the movie. They took full advantage. Now, they’re on a clean up their image, 30 pics for them just walking about on facebook. Justin has been a gentleman throughout this whole ordeal. Bravo to him. Especially to DV victims and survivors.

How much money would the movie make if Blake was not a big part of the marketing campaign? Movies in this category rarely see this high of a box office. As long as the studios know of Justin’s involvement in the movie, he should have no problem securing more contracts.
@k-elle92432 ай бұрын
I don’t think money is his ultimate goal. He makes movies for the content and quality. His others movies prove that. The fact he purchased the movie rights to this movie was one of the first bits of news I had heard when this all started.

That's nothing shady or unusual. MOST of the time the largest actors in the film are also added as producers. It's because of how royalty payments and things work. It's why Alex Baldwin was a producer for rust. It's just a way of having more control over their image and it also gets them a larger cut of the money than just being in it. Often though the actors do very little on the production side other than attending a few meetings and signing a few more papers. 😂

It would have never grossed what it did if it wasn’t promoted and paired with the Deadpool marketing. They were able to use Deadpool marketing to filter directly into it ends with us. I bet the box on it ends with is is 50% higher having it come off the heels of Deadpool and the market pairing.

This is exactly my thoughts about it too! As an author, if someone brought my book to the screen, despite the behind the scenes drama, I would be grateful that my book got made into a movie. Colleen Hoover is acting like Blake is the one who put her book in theaters when it was Justin Baldoni who made that happen and now Colleen doesn’t even at the very least follow him. It’s so weird.

Blake is so rude. Blake & Ryan are now bringing up Taylor Swift constantly in interviews rubbing in the fact they're friends to make them more "likeable" & help stop people from seeing the real them. Also Justin is the only one talking about the domestic A. Issues that this film is focused on. Blake & everyone else keep making it seem like a romance love story. Discussing D.V would be helpful to victims & survivors. domestic violence happens in the dark. If this was spoken about when promoting it that would help bring it into the light. Making it easier to discuss domestic violence publicly. So that maybe one day we can remove the stigma surrounding this as a whole. Similar to the topic of mental illness. As it's now more openly discussed. ..Hopefully I made sense

Domestic violence is something that no one really wants to talk about. I live through it. I have CPTD. I am now divorced . Also, Lupus; SLE ! Being emotionally, physically, mentally, psychologically and financially exhausted!!! Why do I always see things on my tv screen of filth. Porn, Pride Parades with children there, cursing,sexual content, everything but abused women ! Promoting alcohol which was one of the reasons things elevated. Covid really made it worse!!! I cried out for help but during covid everything was shut down! To think about a professional telling me to hold on ! This movie could have saved someone life but honestly alcohol, nail polish and hair products would have made it worse for me; this is a serious issue !!! To glamorize domestic violence, I barely was hanging on ! Just another slap in my face ! Yes, spitting in my face, pulling my hair all the way to the floor and thrower into walls. Why DV????? Why not call it what it is, Domestic Violence !!! Just hope that Justin would want to know that he got it right ! This has scared my heart for life. I kept saying, I am sorry ! I left and what ever he wanted he took. Barely, get any money from him. I must say if it had not been for the Lord I would not be here today ! It’s a man’s world!!!! I was afraid day and night ! Imagine, just how bad it could be and I still do not think no one could possibly do ! This should be made right because women are not strong as men and best not to fight back ! Ever had a gun put to your head. Blake, has four children and I hope she never has to endure with one of her children what I went through !

Correction, the only reason anyone is talking about this movie is because she started drama. I've never heard of this book nor the author, and I had no clue this movie was even happening. My knowledge of Blake Lively a week ago was literally that she's Ryan Reynolds' wife and she used to be in that show Gossip Girl a long time ago. I wouldn't be surprised if that's all 95% of people know about her too.
