I have been following this story. My opinion is it's not all the parents fault. When I was a teenager I would lie to my parents to hang out with older guys, And now at 43 I'm women enough to say I knew better I knew right from wrong. My parents couldn't watch me 24/7. If the parents knew then shame on them. But every young lady should tell the truth to their Parents. That's all my Opinion🤷‍♀

I’m so tired of hearing people dismiss r.kelly’s victims just because they were of age. Leaving an abusive relationship is extremely difficult and we’re talking about walking out on a person that’s rich and influential. They couldn’t even eat or use the bathroom without his permission, how were they supposed to orchestrate an escape? They had no money, no means of contacting their families. They were supposed to leave and do what? Go where? To the nearest homeless shelter? To the police? It’s not that simple. And I’m over these stupid comments of “well if you want to cancel r.kelly then you also have to give up xyz.” How is that an argument in support of r.kelly? I’ll gladly stop supporting anyone that is a predator, we all should. This problem won’t go away until we start supporting the victims coming forward and stop being lenient to their abusers

And I agree with the caller from Miami/Detroit. Unfortunately a lot of men, I include myself in this, we grow slow with recognizing power imbalance. I remember seeing dudes who were in their 20 Macking on young high school girls and only thinking it was kinda weird. Heck I remember engaging in similar behavior when I was 19 but thankfully even then I knew not to take it to a sexual place. It took me getting older and listening to my female friends talk about the shit they go through on a daily basis that I realized how insidious this shit was and how borderline abusive it is. So glad I learned since then and I definitely call that stuff out now. All I can do is grow ask God to forgive me for my own stupidity and make sure cats understand that preying on young women is bullshit move.

I think people forget how (unfortunately) common it was to see young girls messing with older guys. It's like I said in a previous video, as much as we don't want to admit it, the world we live in now isn't the one we lived in back in the early to mid-2000s. No one wanted to believe the situation was that bad. We knew he was on some wild shit but I don't think we really wanted to fathom how twisted his actions were. And like Justin says not only were a lot of us very young and couldn't resonate these actions as predatory because so much dumb shit like this was normalized and we didn't have social media. I'm not going to say you should burn his CDs or renounce ever liking his music but for Pete sakes can we please stop making excuses for his abuse. The man has shown his face way to many times for you folks to still be stuck on the fact that he made "I believe I can fly."

Love Jude and all, but he's being really narrow-minded towards the beginning of this discussion. I'm not going to accuse him of blaming the victim, but he seems to not understand that these women didn't go to the bathroom in buckets because they were weak willed, but because they were scared of R Kelly. I'm sure none of them wanted to do that, but they weighed the option of doing that against R Kelly physically assaulting them and they made their decision. While I understand Jude is making some kind of argument that if he was put in the same situation, he would refuse to stay in the room and deal with the consequences, that doesn't make everyone else wrong for not making that decision. Because they shouldn't have been put in that scenario at all.

@@kmc1994 people like you contribute to an irresponsible mindset among our people. I have two adult daughters myself and not for one second was I concerned that either would get into a relationship with a grown man before they were of age. They knew they had expectations for behavior. They knew better than to associate with unrelated grown men. They're both college educated scientists in their twenties. Responsibility is not a burden for children it's a tool for maturity and it builds character. It also relieves them of peer pressure and wildness when they know they have boundaries that can't be crossed. You send children out like sheep to the wolves when you give them freedom with no expectations. I'm sorry that you feel differently, but you're wrong. That's why that girl got knocked the fuck out in Asheville last week. Nobody taught her not to play with or otherwise engage with older men and she learned the hard way.

A young, responsible girl walking down the street can still be snatched up by an pedophile adult. This is about environment and rape culture. Hold abusers accountable arrogant dip shit. yo, Justin, first off, great video as always. just finished watching it and one thing that stood with me was the stretch in which one guy calls and says that R. Kelly would be dead already if he committed all of his crimes in another country. Jude responded well: "it depends on the country." and I add that it depends on your political ideology. here in Brazil, one of our most famous and acclaimed artists (even though I think he's nowhere near the level of artistry of another idiot here, but a very talented one, this one being Chico Buarque), the internationally-known Caetano Veloso, broke the virginity of a then 13-year-old girl at her birthday party. he was FORTY THREE YEARS OLD and she was THIRTEEN. this bizarre stuff is well-documented by the victim herself, Paula Lavigne, on her autobiography and on a 1998 interview with Playboy. the problem is Brazil's media, majorly leftist, doesn't seem to talk about it and Caetano tries and censor whoever talks about it. recently, he won a first instance lawsuit against a political analyzer who talked about it on Twitter. the main problem here is Lavigne is MARRIED to that motherfucking monster called Caetano Veloso, but yet still exposed him on her autobiography and on interviews. FURTHERMORE, she said on the same 1998 interview with Playboy that she had to ABORT, which means to commit a crime in Brazil, when she was 16 because she was pregnant with Veloso's child. do y'all find that normal?! so why's that? why doesn't the media talk about it? just because Caetano is a musical icon and a left-wing pedophile? Brazil's recently passing through a deep change on politics, with the first right-wing president being elected in three decades. we are known for our endemic corruption, but we are getting rid of the corrupt politicians day-by-day, but yet it doesn't seem Caetano Veloso will get punished for that, even though there are enough proofs to put his pedophile ass behind bars. my point is, big artists like Kelly and Caetano doesn't get punished because they divide opinions, with the left-wing media helping people support them and act like they have some Stockholm Syndrome or some shit like that. we know for a fact mainstream media likes to support criminals and punish good people, so that's not a big surprise, actually.

@enricco1174
@enricco1174 5 жыл бұрын
@@TheCompanyMan Yes, Jus! It wasn't an arranged marriage though. He took her virginity when he was 43 years old and she was 13, and he impregnated her and forced her to commit abortion when she was 16 and they're now married, because somehow she was never bothered by those facts and neither was the media or Brazilian justice. Let me clarify that pedophilia is a heinous crime in Brazil, while abortion is considered murder here, except in anencephaly cases. Paula Lavigne didn't even have to forgive this monster. They just lived happily ever after, even though those absurdities he did to her are unforgivable for Brazil's public opinion. That is so outrageous, man. - To the other guy who commented about Brazil being on a turmoil, I agree. This shit messes up Brazil's national and international images. We faced the deepest economic and political crysis in our history because of corruption, and now we seem to be finally fighting against it, following Federal Police's Operation Car Wash, which uncovered and is punishing the responsibles for the biggest corruption scandal in human history on a daily basis.

I feel if you gotta control somebody, that ain't love. And if you take advantage of somebody who can't defend themselves or isn't old enough to make their own decisions, you're a fucked up human being.💯 #FUCKKELLS

Idk if its just me, but jude seems like he might be on a bit of ketomine or was the previous day or something, cuz it seems like he has a real tough time gathering his thoughts and speaking, but maybe he's just tired or something.

15:08; I do not agree with the woman's definition of sexual predator. That sounds more pedophile when someone preys upon children in specific where a predator preys upon anyone they feel they can get sexually like in prison. Bigger prisoners will prey upon smaller men or women will prey upon someone they feel they can get. A big cat will prey upon anything they feel that they can take down indiscriminately.

They are going after R. Kelly's money! I think the only crime they can get him on now is he may have Women living in his Chicago studio and it's not zoned for Residential. R. Kelly is a creep and should have been in jail but people just wanted him to keep making music since he was making them money.
