Classic lemon tart recipe - this tart recipe is easy to make, sweet and delicate. Lemon tart is one of my favorite desserts. If you’ve never tried lemon tart you should definitely try it.

Ingredients:
For the crust:
1½ cups (190g) Flour
1/4 cup (50g) Powdered sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup (115g) Butter
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
For the filling:
3/4 cup (150g) sugar
2 eggs
3 egg yolks
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (120ml) Heavy cream
1/2 cup (120ml) fresh lemon juice
lemon zest from 2 lemons
Directions:
1. Make the crust: In a food processor, process flour, sugar and salt. Then add cubed butter and pulse until crumbs are formed. Add egg and vanilla extract, process until dough is formed. Do not over mix.
2. Transfer the dough to a work surface, pat into a ball and flatten into a disk. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Place the dough on a lightly floured board, dust the top of the dough and roll out the dough its about 1/8 inch thick. Transfer the dough to a 9-inch (23-24cm) pie pan. evenly press the pastry onto the bottom and up the sides of your pan. Trim off the excess dough off the top of the pan. Gently pierce the bottom of the crust with a fork. Transfer to the freezer for 30 minutes.
3. Meanwhile make the filling: in a large bowl whisk eggs, egg yolks and sugar. Add lemon zest, lemon juice and whisk until combined. add heavy cream and whisk again until combined. set aside.
4. Preheat oven to 350F (175C).
5. Blind baking: line a parchment paper over the dough. Fill with dry beans, rice or pie weights. Bake for 15 min. Remove the weights and the parchment paper. Return to oven for another 10-15 minutes or until crust is slightly golden.
6. Reduce the temperature to 300F (150C).
7. While the crust still in the oven, pour mixture into pastry case. Bake for 17-20 minutes or until filling has just set.
8. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

I think u wont hear it coz of vanilla. I tried one with 2 egg yolks but i felt the eggy taste nd am rlly sensitive abt it. So am planing 2 try it without eggs

Turns out pretty well, thanks for the recipe! Tweaked a little in the filling recipe as I wanna reduce sugar intake, basic rule for the filling 1:1:1 (100g sugar: 100mls heavy cream: 100mls lemon juice).☺️

Just would like to say that your recipe reached Brazil! So tasty, never had a crust similar, better than crushed biscuits! Changed the lemon for key lime, since they are way more cheaper and gives a stronger flavor than lemon.

I tried this recipe out, first time ever making a tart ! I personally like it, but my other family members think it’s a bit too sour... It’s a lemon tart, but I like it and do recommend if you like sour things ! (Just saying, had a bit of a mess up, but if the lemon filling is still liquid in the center, just keep baking it even if it’s pass the recipe. Enjoy !!)

You can google measurements, it's not that hard, believe me) I'm also from Europe and i just google like "1 cup flour in grams" Good luck!

I baked this yesterday, it was so miraculous and i have no ideal what went wrong. I refrigerated over night, so i can see is firm on the top. It turned out the custard at the bottom and the crust is on the top, and no doubt about that cos i tasted it. Can some prof chef give me some feedback, how i did it. Yes, it's definitely the crust on the top!!

Question : If you do not have a processor/pulser can you hand mix the flour, sugar, butter, etc. ?

Hi, yes you can mix it by hand, I recommend softening your butter, then mix in (cream) your sugar and butter and then mix in the flour.

Maybe sugared edible flowers, raspberries, blue berries and 🥝 kiwi slices on top would look nice, too. (With those thin, long, sparkling candles) yEp, maybe someday.

Wonderful pie, thank you so much! I didn't have heavy cream, but normal cream works very well too (maybe add some melted butter). I used half wheat, half buckwheat to reduce the gluten, and I did not cool the dough before baking cause I didn't have that much time - still the pie turned out super delicious. Yes, quite sour, but with some whipped cream it's incredibly good.

@@smoothrelaxation5186It's a cream with high fat percentage( like 30%, which I used , or 33% or higher) Normally you'd whip it to decorate cakes. In this recipe you could probably use milk instead. The yellow layer is very similar to lemon curd. There's a channel called "Food wishes" on KZbin which has a recipe of lemon bars. They used milk for the curd. I also tried that recipe and it turned out great as well. /Edit/ I just checked the recipe and it turned out that they didn't use milk, nor cream at all, only lemon juice.

@@aleksaaaaandra Насколько я понимаю, должны подойти, там ведь ничего не нужно взбивать. Если что, я когда-то делала лимонные батончики с курдом (очень похоже на этот тарт, только нарезанный кусочками) по рецепту шефа Джона из фуд вишес, и там вообще был только лимонный сок, без молока или сливок, и всё получилось. @@user-hm8ub2kd4w о, спасибо, заинтересовалась, теперь буду батончики делать) а насчёт сливок, да они подошли, несмотря на то, что в этом рецепте нет желатина, крахмала, он получился и получился довольно плотный, хоть и очень тонкий слой у меня

للعجينه 190غ فرينه او دقيق 115غ زبده ثلات ملاعق مبار سكر عادي و ص ملح خلطيهم مليح اضيفي حبه بيض كامله و اتركيها ترتاح تم افتحيها بالمول و اثقبيها و ضعي فوقها حاجه ثقيله و ادخليها لتنضج نصف نضج الكريمه 2 حبات بيض كاملين و 3 صفار بيض 150غ سكر خلطيهم مليح زيدي 120 غ كريمه طازجه 120 عصير ليمون و قشور ليمونتين خلطيهم مليح و عند نزع نضج البيسكوي نصف نضج نفرغها فوقها نرجعها للفرن حتي تنضج و تحمر البيسكوي شهيه طيبه اختك من الجزائر

The tart is absolutely scrumptious. Better then at any cafe. I just want to know that when I put it in the oven the filling bubbles and leaves the bubble marks. I don't get that smooth surface which is in the video. Otherwise the taste is amazing. Pls advise
