I think so many people can relate to this statement. Dukes starting airing when I was six years old and every Friday night, my whole family would squeeze into my grandparents living room to watch the show. It was funny, silly, exciting, with a little thrill thrown in. Over the years, Tom and John felt like our "Friday night family." Loved them then, Love them even more now. Nostalgia is a beautiful thing. ♥ All the best to you.

That's because they love all their fans and fellow cast mates like family. Everyone is welcome as an honorary Duke cousin. At this point in time, John and Tom are now the sage veteran Uncle Jesse's of the world, and a great moral compass. Love The Dukes to this day. Thanks for the post, Tom. A little feel good in 2020 is really needed. Thanks, Cousin.

I lost my folks in the last few years, and I've noticed that TV & music from the 60's & 70's can really bring back a flood of memories. The shows back then were wholesome, you could have little kids & grandma in the room when the TV was on. My how times have changed...

No matter how we “age”, the eyes are, indeed, the “windows to the soul”. Tom’s eyes still reveal a gentle, and genuine, soul. I was (“clinically”) killed in a motorcycle crash two years ago. 10 days in ICU...still recovering. I have “aged” 15 years in the last two...but I hope my eyes still reveal who I “am”...just like Tom’s. Long live, “Them Dukes”!

Same thing, drunk guy driving slow swervin all over the road, we got around him. A couple of miles down the road we were sitting at a redlight when he comes flying up and locks his brakes squealing to a stop at an angle in the intersection. He jumps out and pulls a knife as he's screaming barely constantly at us, we made out he said he was gonna kill us... as he was in front of the car .. As he slapped our hood, First Gear and Pedal to the Metal.. knees to the bumper and oily hand and perfect face print on the windshield... he was spinning around and we were gone.... He wasn't hit hard enough to do any damage to the car or him sadly but probably for the best.. Hope it knocked some sense into him and I'm glad I didn't just jump out of the car and go for him.. Those were the days... not that confrontations are a good thing but that these days he would have probably had a machete or a bottle of acid to throw at us.. Sad that machete and acid attacks are so common now yet the news Never talks about them. We need the 80s back....

Hey Tom, I just got around to buying a Season 1 Dukes of Hazzard DVD collection. I haven't seen an episode in over thirty years and all the memories of it came rushing back when I watched. It's still just as entertaining 40 years later. The cars, the characters, the down-home jokes and dialog. It's great we have shows like that to remind us of simpler times. I know things are going to get better. Places are opening up and there's a sense of community on the street I haven't felt for awhile. We're all just waiting at the starting line, waiting for the pistol to fire. This country will roar like the Hemi in the General Lee.

Also, as strong as my nostalgia is for The Dukes of Hazzard, when no cast or crew referenced your absence during the 25th Anniversary Reunion, the omission placed a dark "elephant-in-the-room" shadow over the whole event. Hey Tom. I got to cook for you in Janesville, WI about 15 years ago. You were the Grand Marshall of a parade. I worked at the Ramada Inn. It was a highlight for me being a huge Dukes fan as a kid. I sent a Dukes CD with your sister to see if I could get it signed. I never got it back 🥺. Lol its still a highlight. Wish you nothing but the best and thanks for entertaining me for the last 40 years. ✌❤🍻

@@frankienorbertsteiner8167 I was in a relationship at the time and she was older than me so I didnt look at her that way. To tell you the truth I only met her that time and i was focused on the food and hoping to meet Tom and get my CD signed lol. My boss knew her better, he worked with her at that place years before.

Wow! This made my night. This warms my heart. Thank you Tom, for doing this. We still love you - all these years later. Luke Duke is awesome - and so is Tom Wopat. I was 8 or 9 back in the day - and there was NOTHING better than The Duke Boys (and of course Daisy) on Friday nights. I'm 49 now.... and it's still awesome. My Little girls are really into it now. We do Tacos on Friday nights.... and The Dukes. It's still great, and we loe watching it together. This video is fantastic. Thank you Tom.

My two boys were young and I was alone with them when the Dukes of Hazzard appeared. This show was such a huge influence on me and them, and to this day, we all love Dodge Chargers and the Dukes. I have every episode and watch about every other year. Love forever to the Duke boys....
