As a black man also, I side with Magneto. I don't understand caring for others if they hate me. I can understand not hating them, but I can't understand caring for them. I don't believe we have infinite emotional energy or focus. And that it is a waste of time to try and care about everyone. It's impossible and dilutes any actual caring. We should care for a few, instead of trying to abstractly care for billions. It's easy for those who are saved to tell you to get back to saving them. But for the always having to save people Saviour, maybe it gets exhausting and we aren't being truly empathetic to them. Magneto wants to end the threat for good so he can stop fighting it. But kum baya says let the crazy villains live and just constantly be on guard forever to fight them. It's silly. Maybe Magneto's way won't work either, but it never gets tried. The kumbaya 'lets fake like there isn't a class system and live together' group always wins.

I've seen some of the most shocking things on X-Men 97. Such as the Mutant Massacre on Genosha, Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor kissing in Madelyne's mind, Vulcan with the Shi'ar Empire, the trial of Magneto, Captain America's cameo and Spider-Man's cameo, Operation Zero Tolerance, the Prime Sentinels, and Fatal Attractions. I can think of the story arcs they'll adapt in season 2 of X-Men 97: -Onslaught Saga -Brood Saga -Evolutionary War -X-tinction Agenda -Asgardian Wars -Deadly Genesis -Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire -Emperor Vulcan -Second Coming -Messiah Complex -Messiah War -Schism -God Loves, Man Kills -Avengers vs X-Men And remember, Apocalypse isn't trapped in the Astral plane, he escaped it by possessing Fabian Cortez as a host.

Some of the stories you mentioned I really don't need in the series. Especially Messiah War, Schism and Avengers VS. X-Men I didn't liked. High Evolutionary War I also don't need. And for X-Tinction Agenda (which I really like) is it a bit to late for Stryfe. But one of the best stories, you didn't mentioned is Age of Apocalypse. I know, that they did something like that in the Original series with "One man worth" but this were just a Kid-friendly adaption.

I think they could make something really cool the way this show adapts. I hate Grant Morrison's run but they did E for Extinction better. @@BlackPantherN7 The Twelve had a good start, but I didn't liked the end. House of M I like more and had a good ending, but Decimation I didn't liked. The Milligan Run and the Chuck Austin Runs are two of the worst I've read. The Morrison Run had some ups and downs, wasn't the worst. But in two points I hate this run: 1. Scott betrays Jean with Emma and 2. Magneto kills Jean. Morrison must have really hated Jean. 👎 And for Messiah Story, they need to do House of M first.

Magneto is clearly being driven by his pain and anger his acting is irrational he’s claimed Xavier to be a traitor yet again is focusing on fighting his own who disagree with him as opposed to helping eliminate Bastion then doing his big Asteroid Idea.

Bastion is a human creation. Eliminating Bastion does nothing. The humans will just make another. If it weren't for time travel all mutants would be dead. Magneto recognizes the real threat is the humans.

As a Magneto fan, I really like how he is steps ahead of the X-Men. I'm biased enough to say that Magneto's actions are justified. He saw so much death and destruction that Prof. X's dream is far from a reality. The approach to control his mind to undo the powerful Electro Magnetic Pulse is a huge L on Scott's part. As a Gambit fan, I do believe Apocalypse is going to use Gambit's body and probably untap his omega level potential. He was an Alpha level because Gambit limited himself in the comics. I like to see what Marvel is going to do with Gambit.

I want to point out, what Magneto always wanted was Mutant supremacy over the human race. If Magneto was right then Bastion and all the anti-mutant villains would be also right in taking the mutants as a threat. Also, Magneto's plan have no sense. He could be helping the xmen bring down Bastion, the guy who is the actual responsible about what happened in genosha, instead he chose to have a tantrum that will kill a lot of humans and mutants aswell.

Season 2 it's going to be Onslaught and Age of Apocalypse. Because precisely in the comics, Wolverine regains his adamantium covering his bones by... Apocalypse. To become one of his Horsemen. And who else does Apocalypse turn into one of his horsemen, Death, to be precise? Gambit. So I think that just as the first season mixed sagas, the second will also mix: Onslaught, and Age of Apocalypse.

Although DeMayo being very faithful and coherent to the comicbooks, there are liberties in joining the sagas on which the first season's episodes were based. We must imagine that he did the same thing for the second one.

It's been a long time since I read the comics, but I think wolverine is significantly weakened after losing his adamantium. Basically the healing factor is too busy just keeping him alive. Also, it's a while before he can use his bone claws. I recall him wearing bandages on his hands. Anyways, Wolverine will eventually be back with the bone claws and his suped up healing factor.

Cyclops probably brought wolverine because he knows wolverine is loyal, and he won’t ever turn his back. So he trusts wolverine at his side. But at this moment he might not be very sure about the other X-Men. Cyclops himself doesn’t trust the professor, so he knows he wants someone that is by his side. That’ll always trust him even if they don’t get along very well. And that is wolverine.

I’m in the middle of Professor X/Magneto. On one hand Bastian, Gyrich, Trask, Essex, etc represents the worst of humanity who can’t recognise Mutants as another part of humanity. BUT Magneto, and the more extreme mutants also go too far and think ALL humans are evil. I think a solution is Humanity and Mutants best and brightest have to come together to find a way to not leave anyone behind or at the very least find a compromise for the greater good. That said I almost decided Magneto was right… until he condemns Earth to destruction and even Rips Logan’s metal out.

I also think with the success of this, they gotta revive the spectacular spider-man and spider-man the animated series. I could never have imagined that an animated show by Disney/Marvel would have such serious tones, and equally heartwarming/heartbreaking, and gut wrenching moments. That ending with magneto and as already a big move, and cool - but now with what’s happened to Wolverine!? The passion in and attention to detail in the writing and references- X-Men 97 has had me in tears 3 times now, and I’m loving it!

I was not left speechless. When I seen which team Wolverine was on and that Magneto was the goal, I knew. I was just surprised that they didn't have Jean there. She's integral in the comics for why he doesn't give up while near death.

The crazy implication of Magneto’s retelling of Leech’s death is that he allowed him to die. Leech was under his protective shield, for Leech to have died it meant Magneto withdrew the shield to protect himself because he didn’t have the strength to keep it large enough to protect all the Morlocks under it. At some point, Magneto decided it was gonna be him or them and self preservation was his ultimate instinct.
