I like the fact that she also gives a realistic day in her life since although she does live in a beautiful area I believe that sometimes too many of us romanticized her life a little too much. But this is a good reminder that she doesn’t have a perfect life and I believe there is beauty in that. We all don’t have perfect lives either and I think that is beautiful as well.

Thank you, yes while I film my time off it felt important to show I do spend 90% of my time just working, and it can feel as monotonous and tiring as any job I’ve had. Maybe when I’m 97 I can be retired and spend all my time in a romantic flower field painting in my wheelchair! Hehe! I recommend small steps at first little pockets of calm and quiet, maybe early morning or late at night, maybe a short walk in a park, perhaps a few plants in a window box or some houseplants. I am on the same journey from city life to peaceful slower life in nature and these are where I started and they helped me.

100% support prioritizing staying active. When I became self employed I fell into the trap of sitting too much (in front of computer/canvas) and over the years my body weakened. It sort of sneaks up on you...and you can always find excuses to stay working vs. active. Don't make my mistake! Keep some weights near your desk to incorporate some strength training between emails. I'm sure having a dog helps too :)

I used to sell my home made pesto at the farmers market for 4 years. Also sold succulents at the markets. Strange combo but the combination made me more money. I was the "pesto lady" and the" plant lady". Unfortunately I didnt care for the management and am now thinking of starting my own "artisan" market. At the thinking it out stage now. Hmmm

I love books, fairies , nature and was a typical loner whose best friends were books and drawing. Anxiety is what I started dealing with more as I forayed into my adulthood . The new period of social media has helped a lot watch places and things they haven't been exposed to good and bad. My favorite ones r d quiet soothing nature kinds which has a natural charm to them. One of the many things I love about you is that you have learned to be very comfortable with who you are and are learning more and more about yourself through "self-descovery". As I transitioned from a very exhausting part of my life and downsized to a much smaller home, I watched your videos. They reminded me what life could be like. You gave me hope while I worked with the very little energy I had left to get settled, and you calmed me. My place is like a little English cottage, flowers and lace, in a desert countryside. I have gorgeous sea, mountain and sunset views. Deer, bunnies, and birds of all kinds come to feed from seeds and scraps.
