I'm a 63 year old, old school hot rodder! I am a Ford man! My first vehicle was a 1950 F-1 w/ 237 V-8 flathead! Offy heads, original Eldebrock intake w/ 2 Stromberg carbs! Patina Pea Green! Lol. Had her as my daily for 14 years! Proud to see a nice young man interested in hot rods! Keep up the good work! You've got alot of potential!

I'm a car guy but, you have me waiting for the next truck video as well as the Galaxie. Never thought that would happen. You do a great job and you seem to have a bunch of fun doing it. I did when I was your age. Nice you have friends that get involved too. The F-100 sounds fantastic. The cam you chose seems to be about right. It will be fun to see how it breaks in and what happens when you get to play a little. What a show you were at. Really nice stuff. Nice you acknowledge all those who help and those who help sponsor. Ya really get some great stuff. Be well. 'Till the next video.

Big hello brother. Awesome turn out for your truck and the show! I happen to notice that your exhaust pipes smacked on the back end of the trailer. Check the footage when you were loading your truck at the end of the show. Happy thanksgiving!!

Well done all I’m glad the motor checked out and went to plan . Always on a fresh rebuild it’s squeaky bum time on first start up. The mind races and your going over everything in your head making sure you tighten this up , checking for leaks etc etc .
@richardbaker51514 жыл бұрын
Fantastic job on the rebuild, sounds sweet as anything, what's next for it? loved the slammed and smoothed red Bump at the show...

Wow !! That’s amazing and love the sound of that that cam. When I built my 302 for my old 65 falcon I had an old valve cover with the top cut out so I could adjust the rockers without having an oil mess all over.

Was waiting on you to do the motor in your truck so glad you put in the dome pistons you should really find you some 40 or P heads. Correct any valve train noise pronto that slaming of that lifter against the lobe that you don't hear will destroy that cam quick. But rock's dude can't wait for the track...

I would highly recommend doing away with that glass fuel filter have seen too many nice rides get burned to the ground because of them leaking or bursting
@RobThompsontheITguy4 жыл бұрын
Not specifically related but when I was around 9 or 10 my father and I were on his Harley FLT and he sees smoke coming from the back of a VW bus. He pulled around them and flagged them to the side of the road. I remember the woman being upset at my dad when she got out but my dad got her kids out of the back. I don't think she understood in the moment, your van is on fire and you need to get out. It was fully engulfed by the time SDFD arrived. Later he apologized to her for frightening her and not saving her groceries. The engine block in his beast may not be magnesium but fire is not good.

As a prior trans tech, I've learned to use plastic (cheap) trans tail housing plugs. They will keep most, if not all trans fluid in the trans and off the ground/floor/driveway. Just a piece of FYI. 😁

Really hyped for this video, BUT... I have to say, in spite of what you said at the end of the vid, continuing to break in a cam if you hear noise under the valve covers is one of the cardinal sins of engine building lol. I know you were pressed for time, but still. I hope it is just rocker noise and not a collapsed lifter.
