Thank you so much for staying in our little humble town 😁.Indonesia has a little bit complicated system that even the locals feel that way sometimes, I hope it won't hinder your experience in Indonesia. I couldn't agree more with your seatmate that tanjung balai are lacking of bookshops, mall, computer store,etc. Nowadays, we can access it a little bit easier with the help of online shopping but still hoping for a place that the young gen can hang out .Some Tanjungbalai townsfolks might spend their weekend in Irian mall (kisaran) to watch movies.

Welcome to the Asus Tuf gang. Haha. I'm glad that it's working and the most important part is that the editing is easier and faster. As for some of the extra tech parts. There is an option in armory crate to maintain the GPU all the time and not use the Apu. I think it's called a mux switch. Using it the way you are is the best option for your use. When you decide to become a pro gamer, then look I to keeping the GPU on all the time. Haha

Glad to be part of the TUF gang. Yes, I've been playing around with the GPU settings in Armoury Crate. I think I'm okay with the current default settings. The GPU kicks into high gear when I open DaVinci Resolve or other editing programs. Other than that, the APU system seems to be more than powerful enough. I don't think the GPU is required for anything else that I do. Once I get drawn into the world of pro gaming, I'll switch to the Turbo and Ultimate GPU modes. 😊

@PlanetDoug To turn up the audio, go to Setting/System/Sound and turn up the Master volume (there is another Volume bar there), the audio on the window bar is not the master audio on the TUF (I think its to do with the newer versions of Window tbh, not the laptop type}, I bet your master audio is turned away down! The same happened to me, but then I learned.

Thanks for the tip. When I was looking into this, I checked the audio in Settings, and it all looked normal. The volume there is set to 100% and I didn't see any other settings that could be changed. I think part of the issue is that the speakers are located on the bottom of the laptop and they are designed to bounce the audio waves off a hard desktop or tabletop. However, I almost always have the laptop on my lap, and the audio gets muffled because there is no hard surface to reflect the sound. It ends up sounding very quiet and tinny. It doesn't have the full, rich sound I was expecting from a gaming laptop. It's still okay for basic editing. I can hear everything. But if I want it to be clear and loud, I use earphones.

I hope so, too. This new system in Indonesia was a surprise. I used to get the approval for the visa extension within minutes. But now I guess it takes days if not weeks.

Here's wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Great to know you have a super laptop that enables enhanced speedy work for the tedious tasks you had to put up with your old MacBook. Editing videos would be a breeze now, I suppose. Sad to note, your Christmas in Tg. Balai would be low key. Over in KL most of the malls have Christmas deco that would put to shame, ones in the west. FYI, an American vlogger couple came into KL and did some videos on the malls and Christmas decorations. They were very surprised when they got a few thousand views in 2 days. Their earlier videos they did in other countries, seldom exceeded 500 views in a number of days. Lastly, are you aware of the viral news of 400 Malaysians and other foreigners that attended a recent dance music concert in Jakarta were illegally fleeced a total of allegedly RM One Million by corrupt Indonesian police personnel on duty there? This news is now all over the world.

It's funny, but it is taking time to get used to the idea of faster video exporting in particular. My habits are somewhat ingrained based on previous technology. Now when I do something, it takes me surprise that the job is done in minutes as opposed to hours or days. So even if there is a mistake in the video, I can now just fix the mistake and re-export the video. That never occurred to me before because simply exporting could take an entire night. I just did a quick search on KZbin, and I don't think I saw your American couple, but there were a number of recent popular videos about the shopping mall Christmas displays in KL. I think all the vloggers must have been surprised at the amount of attention their videos got. Next, I'm sure we'll see videos from them as they try nasi lemak and a Ramly burger. Malaysian viewers were suggesting that in the comments. Yes, I've seen some articles about the concert in Jakarta. The amount of money involved is crazy. People are saying that they paid the equivalent of thousands of US dollars to be released, even as high as 18 or 19 thousand. It must have been a terrifying experience for them to pay that much. The fact that this happened doesn't surprise me, but the amount of money involved is extreme. I wonder if there is any mechanism by which the Malaysians could get their money back. Apparently, a lot of money was seized during the investigation. But it would be complicated to figure out who the money belongs to and how to get it back to them.

Yeah, even as a casual gamer, we use headphones.
@PlanetDougКүн бұрын
It makes sense. Whenever I see gamers on KZbin, they are wearing headphones. All the gamers in movies are also wearing headphones. I guess no matter how good the speakers are in a laptop, headphones are always going to be far better. It seems now that if good speakers are important to you, you have to look for what they call a multimedia laptop as opposed to a gaming laptop. I just assuming gaming laptops would have the best audio.
