CYCLING 10 MILES AS FAST AS WE CAN!

It’s spring now and that means that the race season is starting to kick off… this is my first proper race effort of the year. And it’s a fun one… it’s the local club 10 mile TT, but this one is more interesting being that it’s a 2-up Team time trial… you can’t really beat smashing it around the local road with your mates.
So I finished my work day and I headed down to the local bike shop Richardson’s where I met up with my team mate for the evening… bit of a local legend by the name of James Jenkins, this guy is an absolute animal… he rides for the team Richardson’s Trek Das and let’s just say I have my work cut out for me trying to hold his wheel.
In fact he actually manages to squeeze out an effort from me that I didn’t know I had me… producing some of my best ever figures.
What a way to start the race season, this really was a lot of fun… looking forward to more!

Great result, I did a 10 mile 2 up TT with a much stronger rider, really struggled to hold his wheel. We did manage a minute faster than I had done on my own👍 I see alot were on road bikes, you need to get tooled up with a proper Time Trial bike with a disc wheel, then you be smashing it and heading towards a sub 20😀 Well done🙏

Your partner is a professional cyclist? because his heart rate was always under 170, while he was over 190 in some parts.

Just because you’re a professional doesn’t mean you have a lower heart rate… it’s all relative! James’ max heart rate is considerably less than mine, so therefor his threshold HR zone would be lower than mine. Obviously he is definitely fitter than me, there’s no question… but there’s no point comparing two peoples heart rates like for like!
