This sounds really good considering the platform. It is a shame BMW didnt put any thought into the F80 soundtrack though. Isnt the sound a big part of what makes the overall driving experience on a sports car? Having to spend several thousands just to fix what should have not been an issue from factory is madness, especially when every previous gen didnt have this issue. Even the F3x N55 sounds a lot better. I cringe everytime I hear my neighbor start his stock F80.
@TheDailyDriven3 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. The N55 sounds incredible with almost any exhaust setup. Just glad it finally sounds good and no longer sounds embarrassing. Your neighbor needs the equal length midpipe for sure haha

I need an advice from you, My planned setup is VRSF catless DP with AA non-Res equal length mid pipe but I’m confused with the muffler section between remus or awe switchpath. Which one do you think is more loud and has a deep bassy tone on it ? Please help me out in it
@TheDailyDriven2 жыл бұрын
If you're going catless downpipes you'll want to go with a resonated midpipe. The non res with catless will be raspy unless you like that. I love the AWE Switchpath. Only issue is that Gen 1 only works cause Gen 2 was changed to satisfy thr EPA. if you can find a used Switchpath (gen1) that would be the way to go.
@pschonaut52 жыл бұрын
@@TheDailyDriven so do you think switchpath is better than remus or track exhaust ( muffler delete) in terms of more deep bassy sound ?
@TheDailyDriven2 жыл бұрын
The track exhaust won't have valves so it'll be loud all the time. I like the fact that the two other ones you mentioned have valves so my neighbors won't hate me lol. But I'm a fan of the Switchpath but if you can't find the gen 1 the Remus will serve as a solid replacement

I have the equal length mid pipe on stock exhaust, sounds good, what’s your opinion on the mad max?? Looking to replace stock exhaust
@TheDailyDriven3 жыл бұрын
The madmax is nice. Its smooth sound. Also depends on how loud do you want it. My current setup is slighly louder than the Madmax + equal length. Someone told me you can actually call up AWE and just purchase the rear section.

How can I get the switchpath exhaust? I'm from California, and I also oen an F80 zcp with the AA EL non-res midpipe
@TheDailyDriven3 жыл бұрын
You can reach out to them directly at AWE and they can ship one out to you at a different cost then the full system. I know another subscriber did the same and they were able to accomodate.

i have a armytrix exhaust on my m4 cs, i wonder if the active autowerke midpipe would fit only the armytrix axleback?
@TheDailyDriven3 жыл бұрын
Would you happen to know if the armytrix axleback fits directly to the F8x OEM mid section? The active autowerke equal length midpipe fits directly to the OEM midpipe. But if you want to be 100% certain, speak with Andrew at Active Autoweke and he'll be able to tell you for certain.

I stumbled across your channel cause i have been thinking about trading in my evo x for a something more luxurious i guess you can say, i have been looking at the new g80s but wanted to wait for the xdrive variant, also i have seen this beautiful nardo grey f80 CS with 8k miles for about a few grand cheaper than the base g80, but i feel like being a guy who’s only Owned awd cars (legacy gt, and evo x) are they easy to control the f80? I know stupid question but i think it’s time for a change of scenery from 4cyls lol
@TheDailyDriven3 жыл бұрын
I see where you're coming from. I came from the Subaru WRX to a 335i that had AWD. It really all depends on where you're at. If you need AWD cause of the weather in your area. If you don't, then youll be fine with rear wheel drive. Just take it easy and dont turn off traction control when youre on a local road. Things could get sideways in a hurry. G80 vs. F80 its a big difference. I had the same dilemma too and actually made a video about it. :kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIWqp615eKyJnKc I honestly think the CS is not worth the extra cash if you plan on modding the car. The extra power and ect could all be overridden with after market mods. You also loose some of the luxurious comfort since its more for the track. It will hold more value since they only made a limited amount. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

@@TheDailyDriven i live in California (LA) with CS i did a bit more research and you are right it’s a track oriented car wouldn’t suit me for daily use, but definitely thanks for your input i might be trading in my evo soon!
