“At a time like this, the number one bias we should have is not political or religious, it should be humanitarian. It should be human.” MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan speaks on the need for human empathy during the Israel-Hamas conflict, and how his goal in covering the war has been to platform as many voices as possible. He also discusses how his book “Win Every Argument” is meant to provide people with skills and rhetorical tricks and techniques to push back against the bullies, bigots, and gas lighters who have taken over our public square. #DailyShow #MehdiHasan #MichelleWolf

@@lynnerose7891 People need to actually spend half a minute to read why his show was dropped before going off the deep end. It was ratings. Purely. There's no ulterior motive. His time slot is being expanded into by Mohyeldin, who is just as outspoken against Israel and the West as Mehdi. He is arguably a greater expert on the Middle East specifically than Medhi. And Medhi isn't the only one who's show was canned. And Symone is quite cookie cutter liberal-lite. Medhi's main issue is he was billed on a weekend slot. I think they should have tried him out in a more prime weekday position. But that's life and its not correct to make it more than it is. Its ratings.

@@lynnerose7891 Agreed. Supposedly he infuriated management by talking to and covering both sides of the middle east conflict (as he discussed in this Daily Show vid). Plus his ratings were dropping. Rashida Jones, president of MSNBC, is claiming they dumped him because Mehdi wasn't in line with mainstream viewers, which is code for "we don't like anyone to challenge the status quo". The wikipedia article on msnbc actually summed this up in the section 'lack of diversity of views', so this is really nothing new for them. She also said they did it because they're gearing up for election season, whatever that means.

@@fgv1001 almost every pro Palestinian debater uses it, instead of referring to fact. which makes sense, because history is on our side. now let me help you to clarify some stuff: 1- Mossad is a secret agent organization like the CIA, nothing related to Hasbara. 2- Hasbara in Hebrew means explaination, and that what it is(btw, did you ever wonder where the language came from? Please do!). we are an ethno-religious group, 16M in number. for hundreds of years, we are nothing but a fraction of the Muslim/Arab group. if tomorrow 5 percent of the Muslim Arabs decide because of some out-of-context video that "we ate a Palestinian kid" you know very well it will become 30,40, and 50 percent within a few days(a group of people will believe whats fit to it's agenda, every group of people ) So yes we naturally we will try to explain ourselves.
