Yea Trevor is really great at his job and as a well rounded person. Understandably took him some time to find his niche but he did and that goes to show how intensely John Stewart thought about his replacement and how hard he thought about who would be the premium predecessor. Unfortunately Greta sucks. As intelligent and pseudo-informed as she is, she is still very ignorant to how things work from country to country as not everyone is born into wealth and a small beautiful country with one of the highest quality school systems in the world with opportunities constantly knocking at her door that 95% + of the worlds population will never experience. And so although she has some good points - I think it difficult to say she doesn’t - as well as if you are still trying to figure out if climate change is real or not then it would be best if you put your poisonous bible down and picked up a science book for once in your life it would help us all out. Or at the very least please stop reproducing. But greta needs to sit back and learn about how large countries where every person is not born into privilege and free high education. Most of us are just tying to make sure we have enough money this week for groceries and will hopefully be able to pay all the bills this month.

This has been the best compilation of moments from Trevor. He was so gentle with Greta Thunberg about the smell of New York. And Oprah’s “normal” life with her own orchard of avocados.
@BeeWhistler4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I used to watch Oprah back in the 90s and just kinda lost any interest when I realized that she came from the south like me and from very little money to do shows about how to dress nicely on a budget and proclaimed that a $200 suit was cheap. Now, I recognize that the standards for suits agrees with that, even back then it kinda did, but the people who really have to watch their budget could not handle $200 suits today. So yeah... she seems nice but her perspective is, well... I guess good for her, living her best life, I hope she gifts lots of avocados to friends. And Greta, after all the fuss and criticism, is a kid just trying to answer questions in front of a bunch of people. So yeah, he was very sweet.

@thingsnexttome4 жыл бұрын
Whoa whoa whoa. Pretty good?? Last Week Tonight is with out a doubt the best thing on television and the web for the last five years and still going strong getting better and better. - though it is a different platform. And so without a doubt it reins supreme though works as it’s own thing, however shows like the daily show and Colbert are necessary to inform us of the more day to day news and a better more detailed look at the smaller picture. LWT with John Oliver is very important for perfection in displaying and breaking down the bigger picture as well as highly detailed accounts of very much over-looked news. Often and incorrectly Last Week Tonight gets lumped in with the slew of traditional late night shows. They are different and yet both sets are completely necessary, helpful, and appreciated accordingly. Also being so different they are not really able to be compared. Though in saying that I still feel the need to mention Oliver is the most well done with the host packing the most wit. But that is not in anyway to knock Trevor or Colbert.

I think Jimmy is genuine, some body language analyst pointed out Jimmy was on SNL and they have to learn to choke off laughter for scenes, so he's most likely having a genuine response but is cutting it off so he's not overshadowing his guest. If you watch his early SNL stuff he was constantly losing it and would just laugh for the rest of the scene, and that could be a negative if you cut off a story, or hinder an already short interview.

@Ex Animus Wow, the other person never called anyone names, made a statement that is true of a good chunk of Americans, and you attacked them. I'm an American and it's fair to say a good chunk of Americans know squat about other cultures. And those espousing American Exceptionalism believe they are living the only way people should live on the planet. That's about 48% of the country. And those who don't believe in that theory are still unaware of politics and gender roles etc. in other countries. Not me and probably not you, but we're in the minority, pal.
