If you don't care why did you watch the video, why did Shapiro make it? I think it would have been more accurate to say you don't agree with them. Sean o' leary, If their opinions won't help, no one's will. Their voicing their opinions helps to create a culture centered around their perspectives, if it's not enough for them to want to be heard or express how they feel (which I have to assume is why you post or why anyone starts a blog or a youtube channel). In order to create the ideology that pushed the American revolution colonists had to publicly spread their ideas, not jut privately think them, and that's true for every movement or cultural shift that has ever occurred (abolition of slavery, women's suffrage movement, the election of every president or prime minister in every democratic country etc. If you want to change their minds there has to be some kind o public discussion on the issue, so the people who are bothered by their opinions would probably use their platforms in some of the exact same ways if they could). Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with them, but I've rarely, if ever, heard conservatives complain about celebrities voicing their opinions when they agreed with those opinions. It's one thing to criticize their espousing an opinion at an award show, it's another thing to tell them to not make a youtube video or some kind of commercial because they just so happen to be celebrities. Would the same apply to random librarians or firemen?
