God bless you. You are a very sweet man. You have a good spirit and strangely almost like a modern day pioneer, revisiting places people may have forgotten or never known. Your blogs are sweet escapes to what America used to be.

Blind Melon was one of the best bands ever. Shannon was the spirit of the band and they do a vigil every year in lafayette. Sometimes the other guys from the band show up, but there is always a good show and folks have a candlelight ceremony at the grave. Shannon's Mom is super cool and you can even meet Vernie! One of the coolest events for one of the best singers in rock n roll history. Miss you Shannon. Thanks Adam!

Thanks for revealing your soul in those closing remarks. It hits close to home for me because I'm always thinking about that chaotic blend of fate and freewill that yields our life experience. That's why I'm (and so many of us) are so invested in your journey. With that foundation know that if you didn't follow your calling, it would have fostered as regret for the rest of your life. By trying, you are on the road, both figuratively and literally, to find out where happy destiny for you really is. The end of that might be right back where you started. But you will have been bettered by the experience, no matter what you find. You will appreciate more. The path to greatness by any standard is gratitude. Adam, your path to gratitude is exploration and that's why this leap you've taken is good and right. Because whatever you do next won't be based on fear, it will be based on truth. Safe travels and pure love to you, dear friend.

Great stuff Adam. Have to say for all your whacky interludes and fun that you add into your vlogs as you tour around, not forgetting all the little tit bits of historical notes and the great little gems you find in these back water towns, you also have a really honest human side which you share with us. I have seen other vlogs from other people and yes they also share personal things, but I feel yours are really heart felt and full of honesty and integrity. I think that is what sets you apart from many other 'exploring' vlogers and makes you simply one of the best on KZbin. What ever route you choose and how you choose to get there, I know that it will be a great trip and will be awesome to watch and follow you around. Happy travels Adam.

Oh my goodness!!! Just over a year ago, my son (who was 18 & 2 weeks out of high school at the time) left home in California and went to Indiana to do some volunteer work. Although we talk to him weekly, we have not seen him in person since then. He's been moved around Indiana to serve in different areas and cities several times, but is currently in the tiny town of Frankfort. He spent the 4th of July in Lafayette, and sent us photos of some of the same locations that appeared in this video, so this was AMAZING for us to see! I think what you're doing is very cool, and thanks for taking us on all your "zany journeys" with you! :)

I have been watching your traveling videos and I think they are amazing. Maybe that is what you need to do. I know its hard to move around and constantly drive everywhere... But your showing things to people that may not know about in their own states. You have inspired me to look at my own state of Oklahoma in a new way. I just wanted to say that your message at the end of the vlog really spoke to me. I'm at a transitional time in my life where I'm realizing I'm not where I ever expected to be and that my life is starting to go somewhere new. I have kind of been fighting against it, thinking that I need to keep working for that traditional life, but maybe that's not me after all. Your message gave me encouragement that no matter how old we are, or where we are in life that there's always room to grow and change and even though it can be scary, we can't be afraid to take the first steps. Thank you again, Adam. I can't wait to see where your adventures take you.
