I've loved this "Off The Beaton Path" series ... loved seeing the towns that gets passed by OR forgotten about over the decades and years kind of sad to think about that these once-thriving towns and tourist attractions are no longer because of the highway system that took people away from the scenic & byway roads Also too bad that there couldn't be a way to fix up a lot of the Towns & "Tourist Attraction" so that this generation could visit and for historical factor !!!!!!

Oh man I remember when you last visited the pancake house/Fort Courage. For years traveling between Albuquerque and California I'd always see that fort and want to stop but never did. Nice to see you keeping up with it. It feels like that drive is somewhat of a timecapsule. A lot of stuff just sits untouched and you can tell it was probably a decent tourist destination in the late 60's-80's. Now it just sits there waiting.
