Google the number on the back of the plane and it tells you everything about the plane! Tells you how old the plane is, where it has been, where it is going, for the past few days, and where it is going in the next few days. Also the type of engines, the thrust of the engines Etc. All kinds of information about the plane you are about to get on? Also shows you the planned route, and the weather along the way.😮
@lowandapapa3 күн бұрын
The number on the plane, sometimes called the N number, is effectively the plane’s license plate number. If you did a normal Internet search for those numbers, you get to see what kind of plane it is, its history, how old it is, where it has been recently, and all sorts of other fun information. This is the first step to becoming an aviation geek, or AvGeek. Welcome aboard. And as others have suggested, you could use flat rate post office boxes, which you could probably fit in your luggage, when you have too much to carry. Super cheap way to get extra stuff home.

Delta uses what's known as a "Hub and Spoke" system, using hub airports allows them to serve more cities using less flights and is a sneaky way for them to up sell business class as hub airports will have large lounges and better facilities. Having connections means passengers are waiting around and thus the lounge offering becomes appealing. Delta doesn't market to budget flyers so this system works well for them
@corrieka54194 күн бұрын

The hub system is used by all major US airlines. It is not something that is specific to Delta. Each airline has a main hub and several additional hub cities. So it depends on which city you are flying into/out of as far as which airlines would have nonstop flights. Philadelphia is an American Airlines hub city, therefore you were able to find a nonstop flight to MCO on that airline but not Delta.

On the note of your luggage being over stuffed and throwing away Crocs and socks, do you realize you could have saved money and just had them shipped back home so that they would be waiting for you. The numbers on the airplane are the registration numbers assigned by the FAA. It's their license plate per say. That's how the aircraft is tracked in flight and it's history. Any airplane, helicopter or even hit balloon registered in the US will start with an N. They can be personalized also, just like a license plate. Alot of celebrities that have their own airplane have personalized registrations. Just a little FYI for ya Adam. Welcome back home. It's been fun watching your travels.
