That ending was as horrifying as it was unexpected. Awesome presentation!

Whoever this narrator is, give her a big hi five. Thoroughly enjoyable, excellent pace and voice inflection. Granted, the usual narrator for this channel is wonderful as well, but this was a pleasant change of pace. Well done.

I used to work in a pharmacy, I used a blue counting tray... I hated that job. This story is absolutely the most horrifying thing I've listened to all day... and in just the first 45 seconds! That's... 🤔 Impressive! Im going to go listen to the rest of the story now... I might not be sleeping tonight if this gets any closer to home/hell.❤ 🖤🐈⬛🖤

I worked in the pharmacy at our town's hospital. Interesting job. Left there to go to work at Cardinal Health in radiopharmaceuticals. That SUCKED!! (Dirty, low-rent operation with safety violations out the wazoo... Do yourself a favor and make sure your doctor gets their stuff from McKesson.) But I digress- the real reason I wrote was to point out that the idea of the Pharmacist counting pills and doing hands-on customer service is unrealistic. The Pharmacy Technicians do all that.

I remember hearing a story similar to this about a machine and people attached to cables. If anyone knows of one, could you please direct me to it? I like to try to find connections (intended or not) between creepy pastas! Thank you :D

Sounds like it could be "The Machine Stops" by E.M. Forster. It is from 1909 tho.. And connections there are many; people tend to keep (re)inventing the wheel. Not to take away anything from this here compelling story, but 'evildoers in the mist' has been done to death by now... If you haven't already, try "The Mist" by Stephen King. It is brilliant! The guy might be bit of an idiot, but he is still one of the best suspense writers to date.

Great voice acting. Got most pharmacy details right (I was a Ph.T at our town's hospital). Downside? I'm 33 minutes in and it's just now beginning to hint at something creepy. I dig background and introduction as much as any ( I LOVE HP Lovecraft!) , but not half of the one hour plus run-time... I hope the rest of the story is worth the time invested.
