As a Vancouverite, I take the beauty of this city for granted, it's one the only cities in the the world that you can ski, go boating and golfing, all in the same day

You can also do an Edge Walk at the CN Tower. You are harnessed in while you walk around and lean over the edge (no fencing). In Toronto there is also a great Science Centre that is very family friendly and you can take a ferry to the Toronto Islands where you can walk, cycle, kayak, swim (beaches), disc golf etc. There are restaurants, a small amusement park, Toronto's carless neighbourhood, sailing club etc. In both Vancouver British Columbia (West Coast) and St John's Newfoundland (East Coast) you can go whale watching.

The CN Tower was the tallest free-standing structure in the world(1815f/553m) from the time it was built in the 70's for about 30 years until the Burj Khalifa was built in Dubai in 2009.

Canada has amazing hiking trails. Most parks and campsites have multiple trails of varying difficulty. You can do lots of amazing hikes less than one mile if you know where to go.
@terrygaudio1053 Жыл бұрын
Re : Banff There's many different hiking trails to follow but you can just stay around Lake Louise. (The Lake pictured in the video) Not mentioned is that there are a whole lot of hot springs in the area too. Quebec City and parts of Montreal have a unique European vibe. They are definitely a must visit. You can go outside of the CN Tower for what's called "The Edgewalk" but if you don't like heights, I doubt you will like that experience. There's also the 360 restaurant in the tower. A revolving restaurant with pretty decent food. (There's videos of both!) During the winter, the Rideau Canal in Ottawa becomes the world's longest skating rink. (as long as it's cold enough to freeze!)

Oh my! You know I won't be going on the edgewalk. I'll leave that for Dion lol We'll search for a video of the canal.

In Toronto you can also Visit the Family Friendly Toronto Zoo. Canada's largest zoo. If you want to hike, you can also hike on the Rouge National Urban Park. The largest Urban Park in North America.

Toronto actually has 4 beaches. Kew beach in the east end, Scarborough bluffs beach in east suburbs, Cherry beach close to downtown harbour front, Sunnyside beach in the west end and if you take a ferry to Toronto Islands there’s 2 beach locations there.

The CN Tower is massive. No video does justice. That little bowl people look out the windows? Not little. Full on restaurant and everything up there. I haven't been there in decades but back in the early 90s the base of the CN Tower had an amazing arcade. I put a lot of quarters through the Gauntlet game back then lol

I agree with redhat barnswallow. If this video was a meal then it would be considered only a bite of the hors d'oeuvres. Any town or city even, are only minutes away from hiking. For example, in Gatineau, there are the Gatineau hills for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. Most citites have incredible theatre. Toronto, for example is much like New York as all the best broadway hits either start here or come here. There are festivals (Blues, Comedy Festivals, Canada day celebrations etc.) that you might want to include in your visits (the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal is world reknown). So before you decide on where to go, think about what you like to do and use THAT as your guide.

I live just outside of Jasper National Park, in Alberta. If you ever make your way over here, there is no better place to take a hike(long or short) than through Maligne Canyon. This area is God's country to me and I wouldn't move to eastern Canada for all the tea in China. And speaking of wolves, both my dogs are wolf/husky crosses. Ever sat out on your deck in the twilight and heard the local pack of wolves singing? My dogs always join in. In fact they often start it. lol

That is too funny. I actually like huskies. The wolves creep me out, though.

@@TheDemouchetsREACT Wolves are a wonderful, faithful animal. In a pack they all care for the young, they mourn when when of theirs is lost. They only hunt to survive and they love to play. Watching them unaware of you is the best. Love catching your uploads. Thanks!

Eat poutine in Quebec. I think the Hill House is Casa Loma. The Parliament building is under renovation. Go there when it is finished. My family and I drove a motorhome across Canada. A good trip in Alberta is Edmonton, Jasper, Banff and Calgary. Also Drumheller the Tyrell museum. Edmonton the festival capital of the world. Calgary the Calgary Stampede.Winnipeg Manitoba the Human Rights museum. Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, mineral pools and the tunnels. The tunnels are where Al Capone hid out. Medicine Hat, Alberta the tallest teepee in the world. It was used in the Calgary Olympics. Canada is the second largest country in the world, numerous places and events to explore.

I don't know who the person doing the commentary is but he butchered the pronunciation of both Rideau in Rideau Canal and the the word quay. The latter is pronounced "key" and not "kway".
