This video is more than a detail. Your comments on vehicle design give me something to think about when looking at vehicles that I am considering buying. Good times today, indeed 8:17 . I was skeptical about your glass towels being any better than the ones I already have but gave them a shot. Yours are thicker and heavier. I may get a second or third set because they get used a lot.

I just want to let you know that I have a 2013 Acadia and it's different inside. Mine has cloth seats, and the second row is a ⅓ ⅔ split bench that you can adjust front or backways for more leg room. Yes, the battery is underneath the passenger side second row. However, we've never heard of anybody having problems getting to it. (We've had it changed twice since we've had the car. I guess if the mechanics know where it is, it's not a problem. ) And even raising 3 kids with tons of softball, adult baseball and lacrosse practices, We've never let it get this dirty! (It does fit in a car wash, and vacuuming is easy since all the seats fold down!)

Another great job! After owning a 2015 Acadia, same model for the past 7.5 years, it served me well, however you are definitely spot on when it comes to design flaws and the interior cleaning was always a pain for me. Don’t even get me started on the cramped engine bay. Yeah the v6 is great, however, other than oil changes any engine work even minor requires it to be dropped and doubling any repair cost. Too bad about the second row seats being seized, without removing them, they do slide up for making cleaning easier.

So the giant hole in the second row floor with what looks like a battery hanging out at 9:58...is that just how this car was designed or did someone do something after market and fill like a storage compartment with a second battery?

8:36 - I just cleaned my wife’s 2017 Enclave and I hate doing it. The seat and door design is awful. The front door is too small for the seat to fit through and the rear seat is a pain in the ass to remove. Like you said, the engineer or engineers that designed that body style need fired. The other thing I despise is the carpet. Everything seems to stick to it, making it a nightmare to vacuum. The only thing I can say that’s positive is that after the carpet is vacuumed it does clean up easily.

I appreciate that you 'disassemble' the vehicles as much as possible. Had I not followed up on a poor detail I paid for on my farmer's field find 99 suburban, I would not have discovered the beginnings of what could become problematic rusting on the interior side of the floor pans. Unfortunately for the next new owner of today's vehicle you've presented, no amount of interior/exterior detailing will overcome what has to be a complete disaster of a motor and drive train.

Your videos are inspiring to me and put me on to detailing my own car. I find it a relaxing and satisfying task. Recently retired my old 2011 Kia Rio5 and when I brought it in to the dealership to trade, the service tech and the salesman both mentioned the car was surprisingly clean inside and out for being a 12 year old vehicle. I told them I watch Detail Geek and they both knew exactly what I was talking about. We got a laugh out of it. But yeah, thank you for these videos! If I lived a couple provinces over I would bring my new car right to your shop, but your tips and your products are second-best to that!

Hey Mitch, I needed to watch this a second time to give you the time and respect you deserve. The seats not being able to be removed was a complete pain I am sure. That was poor design, as I know you like to get those seats out to do a very thorough job. It was great to see you work around that problem. As always you find ways to push ahead. That's admirable. Pretty gross inside with LOTS of garbage. I can see why you think the design/engineering team should be fired. That was one UGLY interior and poorly planned. The full table of plastic interior pieces made me laugh a bit. You are so very focused on those components. Amazing work as always.
